    €1.50 each or 5 for €10. Bargain. :o

    We're all in this psy-op together.🤨

Seems cheap for Erdinger.. probably meant to be €2.50 considering all the others are around the €2.50 mark.

Cheers, I totally agree on the quality of bishops finger.

I'd prefer the scarecrow, but it's more of a pale ale

For anyone that likes the O'Hara's pale ale that's in the 5 for 10 deal. This beer is made by Carlow brewing company who brew an almost similar version for Aldi called O'Shea's pale ale. It costs 1.79 so same as 5 for 8.95. It's not as strong but tastes almost the same. Similar packaging too.

I got a couple of bottles of Old Crafty Hen in Dundrum a couple of weeks back. Very surprised to see it since it's the "premium" version of Old Speckled Hen which wasn't included in the deal.

Seems to be gone from Dundrum anyway though - any sightings in any other locations?

Seems to be a good selection of these online. A lot better than my local Tesco in Merrion Row anyway
I'm gettin €60 worth to get my €10 off first online order.

Be careful doing this. Do you know what store the delivery will be coming from? You'll only get the selection your local delivery store has.
I remember ordering some online a while ago and they didn't have half of them, resulting in me only getting 2 or 3 beers and not qualifying for the offer.

Ended up picking about 6 different ales online, and they had all 6 types. Worked out well

Nicest of them is the St Austell Tribute, it's Welsh

Dunnes Stores out in Bishopscourt are doing Erdinger now...And it's 5 for €10.00.

SuperValu at The Lough are doing it,,but it's €2.83 per bottle..

I'm not 100% sure it's the Erdinger Dunkel though.

    .

    heads up on dunnes
their 5 for 10 offer on beers finished last wed (jan2)
they still had a big display for them in briarhill but no price
so don't get caught...i had to ask to find out
typical too with my money off vouchers starting jan 3 (cute hoors)

tesco have rose the price to 5 for 11 now
can't complain though as it's still a decent saving on dunnes
asahi was there on offer but big tigers weren't...they are my two favs :)

Tesco have 6 x 380ml bottles of Coopers sparkling ale for €8 at the min also.

For anyone not familiar with this beer, I'd confidently say its one of the nicest beer ever made.

Be warned though, 5.8% so it definitely packs a punch.

Picked up some Fursty Ferret today, cant complain at 4 for 4. Saw some coopers IPA but no Sparkling Ale. Any idea if that's any good? Goose Island would be my favourite IPA.

  • Moderators, Society & Culture Moderators Posts: 9,689 Mod ✭✭✭✭stevenmu

The Coopers IPA is pretty decent, it's not a patch on Goose Island imho, but very drinkable all the same, and worth trying once at least.

That's the one. Nice kick off it alright, I wouldn't manage a night on it but one or two very tasty indeed.

'Proper Job' is part of the Tesco 5 for €11 offer, one of the nicest Ales out there I reckon. Normally €3.50 in my local off licence

Been like that for a while now. It's not as good of a deal, though still not too bad.
