So long as your pile of shoes is smaller than hers, she can't say anything.

A season's worth of cycling nutrition just landed by my desk. Along with a cable cutters. I just realised now that I should've bought some cable as well.

Multi-Vitamins and L-glutamine for build period! It says "performance enhancing" on the front of the multi-vitamins tub and I had to double check ... I'll have to scan the label to see what exactly I'm swallowing! :(

Or you could use it for it's intended purpose - bike theft!

If yer only spending 55 euro on a pair of cycling shoes as opposed to TWO HUNDRED and fifty five the Mrs should appreciate what a gem she has !

Nah his brother lent them to him for 6-8 weeks but is looking them back apparantly (gets nervous on descents without them).

Just purchased / fitted LifeLine Carbon Mini Pump and Topeak Aero Wedge Saddle Bag and associated "first aid kit" (LifeLine Essential Narrow Road Inner Tubes and Park Tools Puncture Kit With Tyre Levers).

And this after having just got my Keo Look pedals and 2013 Specialized Sport Road shoes.

For a newbie to this scene, this whole cycling thing is getting addictive :D

Ordered a pair of these cleats today.
Made by VP, they're split in two and join together like a jigsaw.
So when you find your ideal cleat position you'll always retain it because you replace one part of the cleat at a time.
Cheaper than Keos, feck it I'll give them a go.

I was up in CRC today looking at the road shoes.
He had one pair of Diadora Speedracer Carbon 2's left in the shop (reduced from E209 to E79)...in size 45.5
    I take a size 46 :(

You sure it was in that colour? On their website they list 41/44/45/46 as all that's left, but only in the white version.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,183 ✭✭✭furiousox

    Yeah definitely, anthracite/white.
I was like f'ing cinderella trying to make them fit, they were ok but I needed that extra half size for sure.
    Gutted, they're a great shoe.
    Will look for them elsewhere.
Anyway there's one size left in 45.5 in the Boucher Rd shop if someone wants a pair.

Day after the first race... realise the only reason I didn't win is because I don't own enough bike-related possessions. To the bike shop! New tyres, tools, tubes, gloves... new bike's not far off now.
