    Yeah definitely, anthracite/white.
I was like f'ing cinderella trying to make them fit, they were ok but I needed that extra half size for sure.
    Gutted, they're a great shoe.
    Will look for them elsewhere.
Anyway there's one size left in 45.5 in the Boucher Rd shop if someone wants a pair.
Damn you, I couldn't resist! But they do at least fit like a glove! Thanks for the tip as really wanted that colour!

Did you get that last pair?
Great shoe, and an absolute steal at that price.

Yep, talked to the guy there and I think he remembered dealing with you. He said they actually have two pairs in that size, one of which I picked up via a delivery driver from work last Wednesday. Just got back to office today and got my hands on them. The guy in the shop gave a long sales pitch over the phone about them too so I couldn't resist! Thanks again, I'd never have thought their stock in the shop is separate to the website - good to know!

The club league should give me a chance to display the latest arrivals:

I know Rob will be particularly jealous of this one:

Of course there is a lot more to buy bu unfortunately it will have to wait for another day and another paycheck to pay for it all.

New pedals, spare hanger... new new gloves after tearing the old new ones "sprinting" in the Mick Lally, some extra bottles... a new wheel for the beater... cleats, clips... saddlebag, bottle cages... not to mention the bike.

I've spent far too much money in the last month and a half. And that doesn't include magazines, EuroSport subscription, event entries...

:) In preparation for an upcoming holiday to Gran Canaria, and a trip to Les Gets in the summertime, I've just purchased the following:
    • Nukeproof spine protector
    • 661 Comp Elbow guards (that I'll also use kayaking)
    • RaceFace flank knee/shin guards
    • Oakley goggles, with fire lens.
    • Minion DHF 2.6 super tacky
    • Minion DHR-2 2.5 super tacky
    • Spare sintered brakepads for the Hayes Stroker Trails.

In the near future is likely to be a set of Maxxis Wet Screams, and a full-face helmet such as the 661 comp. And a new uprated spring for my front forks..

I finally did it and bought the Canyon Roadlite AL 6.0. A 105 groupset is more than enough for me stepping up from a 2300 groupset. It'll be cheaper to get a few pounds off me!

Well chuffed with myself. I'll break the news to the wife before it comes!

she knows its coming. It should be a surprise

Remember the correct way to break the news is, "It costs €x,000,000 new, but I got 40% off cos it's last years model". That way she'll be conflicted between her rage at the outrageous cost and her delight at the bargain you've scored, so hopefully she'll emotionally break even and be nonplussed.

Just say it had 50% off and with that 50% saving you bought the bike.

I hope they are more reliable than your dodgy seat-post.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,718 ✭✭✭AstraMonti

haha that was a 4y old seatpost that I got with the first planetx i bought! Around 10k kms for a seatpost it's good value (and it wasnt even super light).

FYI - if you race that bike in the club league this year I will be obliged to lodge an official complaint that your bike is not UCI compliant:p
