    While I don't agree with capital punishment, I can see why it would be argued as a deterrent for severe crimes against society (murder usually, in western societies, never drinking or stealing). Is not wearing the hijab a severe crime against society? Is it justifiable to torture women in hell for not wearing it?

    1) As you said, you don't see Islamic women do this, but Islamic men can, so why is that? Western women do this, so its not like women in general don't want to.
    2) Women can wear condoms, and men can wear bras. Men generally dont, because they don't have the biological prerequisite, but there is no obligation on men not to, or obligation on women to wear a bra, under punishment of torture in hell.

    This piece just shows the inconsistencies in Islam. Your mother is to be most respected, unless she dresses as a man and then she is to be punished in hell.

    For me its the nonsense beliefs that lead to the oppression of women, killing those who don't follow the 'right' branch of the faith, the fetishisation of war and the cruelty of halal slaughter.     Slaughterhouses are full of animals that can see/hear/smell what's going on, and they get STRESSED. Halal butchering is supposed to be done out of the sight/hearing of the other animals, so as not to needlessly terrify them before it's their turn.

    Forcing females to dress like a walking postbox is oppression. Let's not even get in to "honor killings" because the female might actually have normal female tendencies and wants.

    That's the Koran teaching though isn't it? The whole non believers/infidels must be subdued or slaughtered? As for cutting in the neck and dying quickly, I think Ken Bigley and other unfortunate victims of those animals would think otherwise.
