My local Tescos in Drogheda and Ashbourne have reduced their stock, they don't have as many world beers as they had a few weeks ago. Hope it's just temporary.

Ended up buying 10 instead of 5, well it was a sunny weekend!! Kept the 'feared' Vitus til tonight, nice but prefered the other Germans. Wife was laughing at her wine being stronger than my super strong beer:o!
I think I'm saving money by drinking these more expensive beers I drink less and more slowly!! Or is that just me??

    3 Efes - got that holiday feeling:cool:
1 Leann Follain - a bit much for me but I'll a proud Guinness fan
2 Erdinger - Glad I bought a couple, could have drank a few more!
1 Paulaner - Give this to my uncle, it's the only german beer he likes:confused:
1 Schneider - My favourite of the germans, nice balance of flavours:)
1 Arcobrau Dunkel - my first dunkel, surprised I liked it. Would buy again
1 Weihenstephaner Vitus - Nice but I expected a lot of the 'Worlds Best Beer'. How do they decide this??

Got some London Pride last weekend, drank it before years ago but forgot how nice it actually is.

Also got 2 bottles of Old Peculiar, quite nice, darker taste not unlike bishops finger but very nice.

Had a couple of warsteiner which is always yummy and one of my favs (can't seem to find bitburger anywhere which is one of the best German ones)

Not a fan of erdinger but like spaten and franzizkaner.

Oh nearly forgot , tried a hobgoblin, not sure if I liked it or not, might try another one.
Finished the weekend off with a few bishops finger.
I know the neames stuff is frowned upon around here but I genuinely like the bishop and find it strange that people don't like it, I can understand the hate for spitfire and the other ones though.
I tried O'haras ales and think they are muck but yet people rave about them in here?

Each to their own I suppose.
Will try something new this weekend...

    Same here in Cork.

They seemed to have stopped getting in as many now....

I used to love the Banana Bread beer,,and the WyldWood Cider...

And the Mrs had a thing for the Double-choc-chip-stout.

They haven't stocked any of those in ages now..

If you're in cork, just head to bradleys on north main street. they're an off license specializing in craft beers. absolutely massive selection, better quality beers and cheaper too than tesco's offerings.

How are people finding stock levels in their local Tesco these days? I want to try some of the banana bread beer but can't find it :(

If you have an O Briens Wines close by, try there. They were doing 5 for €10 on Waggledance and Banana Bread Beer.

Dunno if it's readily available in Ireland, but I think the nicest beer I have ever tested was Innis and Gunn... Absolutely spectacular. It's brewed in oak caskets, and the flavour really comes through.

Innis and Gunn in the Tesco 5 for €10 :D

Been to Tesco in Nenagh (last weekend) & Tesco in Maynooth (last night) and neither had any world beers? Bit odd I thought.

It's still on, but the range seems to change slightly every few weeks. As long as they keep it going - with good stuff* - I'll be happy. They were selling 8 Degrees sixpacks for a while as well, although that seems to have stopped :(

*I thought the selection got very poor/uninteresting in my local Tesco a few weeks ago, but there are some nice beers on offer at the moment.
