Not a very happy child and the psu is €17.99 in gamestop.

It's probably stated on the box and unless the sales person didn't tell them that there was no charger then it's their fault.

I may seem like an arsehole but I deal with this in work all the time about telling customers that they need to do this or it won't work and what not and then what happens? Customer comes back in a fit of rage saying that it won't work and blah blah blah.

Working in retail gives you no sympathy for people :P

While I agree with you to a certain extent I still think its a real ass%&** move on Nintendo's part. Yes, they were probably told that they need to get a psu at the till, on the box and in adverts. But as I'm sure Nintendo knows, the average consumer/human is a bit thick and expects the basics to be in the box.

I mean, in the states you get a psu as it might very well be illegal to sell it without one there.

No matter what we say here, the average mother going into gamestop to buy little Johnny/Jilly/Abaminaette a 3DS XL is not going to be aware they need a psu even if there are signs all over the place saying that they do.
I'll be getting one myself tomorrow so I'm going to see if they tell me about the "extras" I need to buy.

Genuinely disappointed to hear this, and after I stuck up for them and everything, dick move by Nintendo.

I don't understand where Nintendo is coming from. Its so... regressive. Its like "batteries not included".

But the first Game Boy came with batteries. 4 standard AAs. And Tetris. And headphones. And a link cable.

They had almost no experience with handheld gaming (Game & Watches really do have different needs & expectations) and they got it perfect. Now they're introducing backward thinking like this and region locks.

So, what happened to Retr0s hand and why hasn't he mentioned it here?
Or has he and I wasn't paying attention?

    This is ridiculous imo

There's sites you can get this repro for like 60$ on the net, he never mentions its a repro either. "I strive to describe my items as accurately as possible. I am a very harsh grader, and I will always point out any flaws. I know it can be disappointing when sellers don't accurately describe their items and use stock photos."

I met a mate of yours in IKEA yesterday, mentioned you had damaged it, no mention if it was your "gaming" hand though....

Unfortunately it is. It's bad enough I can't play action games but RPGs are ok. Fapping out of the question :P

I was in IKEA at the weekend, picked up some excellent stackable storage drawers at around €12 each. They hold boxed Super Famicom games perfectly, around 12 per drawer. I bought 3 of them but need another 3 for boxed Mega Drive games and the rest of the Super Famicom games.

Really Useful Boxes are excellent too, I bought a rake of those and have some special XL size ones due this week for my Laserdisc collection and PC Engine games.

Definitely check out those IKEA units though, they are excellent. Find them in the storage area near the laundry baskets, it's the opposite side of the area where the Samla boxes are (that I usually buy but won't be any more).

One thing I hate about IKEA - the stupid names they give everything!

I had my eye on a bookcase in there, but the fact that it's called 'Billy' turned me right off.

Names are for people, animals, cars, guns and ships. Not bloody bookcases!

Oddly enough I bought that as well. The brown/black version. Great little unit that is now housing all my Shooting Gameside, Arcadia, Gameside magazines, books and so on.

Nice, sturdy little bookcase that does the job, regardless of the fact it's called Billy. :)

This is the one I bought:

I had heard nowt but good things about their Swedish meatballs. They were pretty **** when I actually got them. More water than meat.

Well, I was there, with the wife and ciderman jr. for their Crayfish Party, woohoo... or not....

A tenner for grown ups you get things no human should ever have to eat, unless they have information on a nuclear bomb location and you need to extract it!

Pickled herring, some sort of fish eggs thing- on an egg!
Cold water shrimps, with some egg/roe mass underneath.
The best things on the plate were some salmon, cheese and a cracker!

The main course consisted of cray fish, smaller more awkward lobsters, meatballs, some sort of quiche that actually nice, spuds, some sort of cheese pastry twist that tasted like old socks.

The desserts were a mingling of the usual Ikea things, light jellies and strawberrys, encased in heavy suet pastry. Best thing was the Dime bar cake!

No retrogaming to be had, unfortunately, not til later anyhow, when we got into, and finished Star Fox 64 3D, again, at least one course anyway.

Billy drawers, watery meatballs and power fap injuries, the new thread finally hits it's stride.

I'm no fan of IKEA 'food' either. I agree with Mr. U, I was told IKEA meatballs are legendary. I'd rather tongue my own meatballs after an hour of kettlebells than eat those horrid things.

WTF? Ikea do food? That seems a bit hipster to me.

'You still eat in restaurants? Pff, you're so behind times man, I eat in Ikea'

Stick to what you know lads, flat pack furniture with stupid names.

They need to come up with a new gimmick like flat packed food...

You can eat in our restaurant but you have to cook the food yourself. Luckilly we have these instructions here that don't make any sense... that'll be €100 please.

The Ikea food thing is nothing new. Sure there was a Simpsons episode partially about it back when the show was still semi-watchable. So like a decade ago.

Replace your rank meatballs with Korean BBQ and we'll talk again, Sweden.

    Yes!!!!

And a beat em up too! One genre these projects don't touch nearly enough.

Hopefully it'll be up to the visual standard or exceed that of Streets of Rage 2.

And who knows, maybe it'll even bring Ciderman over to the genre finally :D
