Not actually going looking with money till friday week, just browsing the web to see whats out there, i have already swotted up on service intervals etc, will probably go with a garage in athlone or cork unless i see something special private, have eleven and a half grand and a 2002 octavia to play with so we shall see.

Considering my brother in Law sold a 08 Gti, 60,000 kms, creeam leather interior, sunroof, new tyres, just serviced, mint condition inside and out for just under 12k about 8 months ago, i think you should be able to find a bargain.

I went up to Bishopscourt yesterday to watch the ITCC, it's a very fast track, can't wait to drive it myself.

This video is from a lad taking part in only his second race weekend, he'd never even done a trackday!

I have reached my target of 50 respondents (100 overall) for my poll lads. Thank you very much I appreciate it.

I shall now drift back into the darkness from which I came :pac:

Thats ITCC video looked fun, the guy lost so much speed on the entry to corners and the chicanes tho, real pity as he was driving his heart out.

Theyre fitting a rotivator to the car as we speak. I know tge lads running the race2race but im defo entering myself this time. Free drive? Yes please!

It was a difficult weekend for a lot of drivers, brand new trackthat was very fast. Sexton broke a balljoint in the first race, burdock had no brakes and brennan had a mechanical faure in the first race. They all got out for the second race though

My mechanic/friend is going for a wedding. He is going to be gone for a week and back only next Tuesday!! Fuuuuuuu! :(

I won't be able to go and check any cars for a week so. He got all portable diagnostic system, so it is very easy and handy to check cars with him. I don't really want to go and buy any car past 05, withouth picking its brain! :(

My wife just phoned me and told me she made 2 sub 5 minute journeys in the 06 focus and the battery light stayed on for both of the trips. Anyone have an idea?

alternator most likely, auto spark rather than mechanic would be place to go, battery mightn't be charging at all so tell her not to go too far in it.

New centre caps and indicator lenses on the beamer, it's the little things that make it. Looks a lot better already.

Either the alternator itself or the a broken wire to the ecu. These have a smart charge system so the alternator output is controlled by the ecu.

Spent all of Saturday machine polishing my e46, hard compound, soft compound, and then 2 coats of wax when I was done. I'm terrified to drive it now in case it gets dirty. The bumpers I resprayed 2 weeks ago really set the car off, it looked so tired with the scratches.

Next up will be calling out Eddie Dent to remove the trolley dents on both sides, and then as soon as my first paycheck arrives from the new job that I haven't started yet, a leather interior. Mmmmmmm. Dead cow!

That sounds interesting. It has no made 3 sub 5 minute journeys and I just tested it there and it started first time no bother. I thought it would have struggled to start if the battery wasn't charging and the short trips earlier.
