Apparently Suarez has been charged by the FA.

    What does charged mean though?

That they've concluded their investigation and found him guilty

Or that they think there might be something that happened and are going to spend more weeks pissing around while investigating?

It means he can plead guilty now or request a personal hearing

    Here is the FA statement
"The FA has today charged Liverpool’s Luis Suarez following an incident that occurred during the Liverpool versus Manchester United fixture at Anfield on 15 October 2011," read an FA statement.
"It is alleged that Suarez used abusive and/or insulting words and/or behaviour towards Manchester United’s Patrice Evra contrary to FA rules.
"It is further alleged that this included a reference to the ethnic origin and/or colour and/or race of Patrice Evra. The FA will issue no further comment at this time."

I'd say he has just a few days to decide on this.
It should be concluded within a week unless Liverpool decide to go down the legal route.

Liverpool have said he will plead not guilty and request a personal hearing

Not sure exactly what the charge is, it doesn't say on the FA link. In the above though, the abusive and racial insults are both included

How many games we looking at? Assuming they'll want to make an example out of him.

Could we be talking months rather than games if they have concrete evidence?

    Unreal.

Where's the evidence? Will anyone actually ever get to see it?

    FA Bastards

The Club this afternoon received notification from the Football Association of their decision to charge Luis Suarez and will take time to properly review the documentation which has been sent to us.

We will discuss the matter fully with him when he returns from international duty, but he will plead not guilty to the charge and we expect him to request a personal hearing.
Luis remains determined to clear his name of the allegation made against him by Patrice Evra.
The Club remain fully supportive of Luis in this

FA Bastards? They're dead right investigating, and if the evidence is there he should of course be charged accordingly. Obviously they haven't released all evidence or statements, so not really sure how you can condemn them at this stage

    shít just got interesting.

    2379.Popcorn01MichaelJackson.gif

before everyone gets going, just to say, if it's proven that he definitely racially abused Patrice, then i genuinely hope he's fined, and that the club take action as well.

    even a banning.

Actually annoyed thinking of the following.

    - John Terry calls Anton Ferdinand a "black c**t*" and is caught red handed with video evidence
    - Suarez/Evra case has no video evidence whatsoever

Suarez is the one charged with racism.

    Bollocks to that.

Like they do on Suarez, otherwise he wouldn't be charged.

It is fairly sickening though, but only because we thought that there was nothing to it.

If Suarez gets a fair trial and is found guilty i hope he gets a severe punishment.

I have a feeling Liverpool will have a hefty legal time behind this case.

Obviously JT should also be charged, however his case is irrelevant to that of Suarez's. Liverpool player or not, any allegation of this nature should be fully investigated and appropriate action taken against anyone found guilty

The SUarez incident occurred before the Terry one. Has it been confirmed that Terry won't be charged?

How can they charge him when it seems that they haven't even made their own minds up about the "alleged incident"?

It is alleged. Nothing proven yet and if they cannot prove it, he cannot be banned.

It shouldn't have been said until there's concrete proof.
