I would love some of the WCW tapes, but honestly mate, they can be so rare these days, I reckon this collection would be worth it's weight in gold in 10 years time, sure you can't find somewhere to store them?!

Seems a real shame to give them away for free!!

That's a nice collection you got there. I'd say the longer you hold onto these, the higher the price they will be worth.

Not in the case of VHS unfortunately. You can't even give tapes away anymore as I have found.

It's littered with biased inaccuracies but as a documentary it's quite entertaining and i'd say worth the cash. The Jericho DVD is fantastic if u haven't seen it yet. Also Piper's is great, watched it last weekend.

Have Pipers already, Not such a big fan of Jericho as i was more of a 90's wrestling fan. Perfects dvd is a pretty good watch too.

thought Perfect's documentary was really boring and skimmed over WCW and his death in like 2 minutes, out of nowhere. Although the collection of matches is nice :) Jericho comes across as a guy that absolutely loves wrestling and is tons of fun, and has worked all over the worth. If u don't like jericho then u wouldn't like it but otherwise i'd really recommend :)

sure u've already got best of starrcade...

Haven't got the best of starrcade but looking at it there it looks pretty good. Was never a huge fan of Jericho so unless i saw it cheap i wouldnt get it. Watching the road warriors dvd at the moment. Decent watch

^ Awesome looking DVDs there. I presume they are DVDrs though ya? Prices seem a touch low.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,242 ✭✭✭chordtype

Yeah they are all DVDR, nothing fancy but it does the job. It's really the only way to get most of these as they never make it to proper releases.

The quality is usually pretty good and the prices are really quite great. You can pick up individual NOAH shows for about €2 and most of the larger comps cost less than €20 when converted. Postage from the US works out about a fiver. Hasn't let me down yet.

I don't usually watch WWE produced DVDs. Are any of the main documentaries great over the last 5 years? (Besides Piper and Jericho's)

i'm surprised they haven't tried out a couple of wcw themed tagged classics. I'm sure there's a few people around who wouldn't mind picking up a war games dvd.

Might pick up that bobby heenan dvd after christmas.

WWE will be releasing a 3 DVD set on The Big Show titled "A Giant's World" on 3/15.

    Three discs!?

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,431 ✭✭✭the flananator

The Undertaker and Kurt Angle dragged him to some strong matches over the years, but those and his WCW bouts aside, that is going to be one awful, awful release!

    WCW footage too?

Just finished the Jericho dvd there,it was great but you would miss the Benoit stuff its a huge missing void in the documentary & the match choices.I'd have at least 4 ones including Ladder,TLC & single matches. Also the Christian match from Mania XX should be in there too instead of the worthless matches eg vs Hogan.Must say the Comments from the Superstars sucked something fierce,Miz even contradicted jericho & the line where he compares Cena to Austin is delusional.

Jericho basically says that he had a great debut but never really capatilised on it after even sitting out a ppv 2 months later(my brother said he got in a bad argument with vince & was granted his release but they both made up quickly) then Miz says he had such a great first 18 months. The Cena & Austin thing was him comparing them as both being "unorthodox" which is VERY flattering for Cena.

lol, it is a WWE-release, and Jericho doesn't want to jeopardise any future business with the company; especially when it comes to blaming HHH and DX for trying their best to sabotage his career (and hhh even did it again when he came back for his last run!)

Flattering Cena during this period of poor sales is nothing more than helping out WWE and towing the company line. I automatically disregard this kind of comment so quickly i didn't even realise he said it!

Definitely missing his Benoit matches, but sure, every DVD made after June 2007 will have that problem :(
