Commando or Titleist Pro-V1 are the most used balls.

There is a quite active pitch and putt forum at http://www.pitchandputtforum.com/forum/index.php

I came across a grand pitch and put course in Portumna recently. It is called Oldthort.
They also have a 9 hole golf course.
Very reasonableto play and free to residents.
Played the P and P there today. Was in fantastic nic. One of the best P and P's I've played definately.

any pitch and putts/Par 3's that allow us to push a baby in a buggy. My wife and I would like to take our son to a pitch and putt, but we have a 6 month old to also bring along. The few places i've called have said "no"

Not sure if its open any more but there was a par 3 out in tallaght. The members of glenville p&p bought the land & stuck a course on it.

It's very basic, was just a big locker there with a box & envelopes. Usually wasn't anyone up there running the place,u stick 5 quid in an envelope & left it in the box & played away.

If its still going then I'd imagine you could walk round the place with a buggy.

It was up around kiltipper direction

that one's called Glenville Ballymanna, played it once about 10 years ago.
from what I remember it's very flat, but quite long, a proper par 3.
not sure if it's still open, maybe ring Glenville Pitch and Putt to make sure

I'd say any of the ones around Glencullen/Stepaside/Johnnie Foxes would let ya too. Assuming you arent going to be pushing them across the green or taking the piss...

BTW lads, is there a need/desire to have a Pitch 'n Putt subforum on here? If there is a desire we can look into it...

A couple of years ago the pitch and putt section in this forum was very active but the lads felt they outgrew boards and were just taking up the Golf sections space so another forum was set up called pitchandputtforum.com

By all means make one Greebo but don't think it would be very active.

As for the buggy i'd imagine some Par 3 and P&P course's up the stepaside way ie Jamestown,Glencullen, Willie Foxes wouldn't mind you goin around with a buggy but as was said just stay away from the greens! I'd highly doubt Glenvlle will let you out with but they have got a viewing area where you can look down on a good 70/80% of the course

I'd be more worried about some of them from a safety aspect, some the hills can be very steep.
