Yeah i very rarely post in BGRH but read it frequently. It has evolved since its inception, it has almost become a parody of itself. Not saying there is anything wrong with that, i can understand why some people wouldnt like it.

As gareth marenghi might say, It was just too damn dangerous to be allowed to exist in its original form. I say we leave it in its format but make it a sub forum of the ladies lounge, just so everyone knows the score

Why should it be a sub-forum of anything (especially that gods-awful mess that is tLL)?

Awww Mairt had a hissy fit and left cwying, boo fcuking hoo. It just goes to show his ego was bigger than his perceived persona on here. I'm banned from BGRH (Through my own choice, aquiring that ban was alot of fun :D ) but I'd be willing to bet his threads that were locked were locked by Thaed and that's why he left because how dare a woman put him in his place  you see everyone talks about BGRH like it's just a laugh but the truth is it's not, some "men" take it way to seriously and start to believe their own bullsh!t and the jokes stop being jokes and become their manifesto because BGRH give them that arena to abuse others because it's all just "a bit of fun" but seriously do you think testosterone fueled, self obsessed dunderheads see it as fun? they don't, they see it as their way of life, people like that aren't having a joke, people like that mean what they say. Peopled are bullied on there all the time, it just gets ignored because it's all just a joke really...isn't it?

Sorry Kaz but that is complete and utter bollox! I don't bully and have no time for anyone who does, it is all just a laugh and if people don't get it then tough! Please supply quotes, links and any other examples to support your above statment!

i don't want to take mairts side, cos I don't like the chap.. but there's something weird about a man who wants to be a woman who wants to post on the man forum.
also, how dare a woman put him in his place?

****** please, the amount of **** you bitches (lol) kicked up when the idea of a male mod for the ladies lounge was floated was unbelievable.

I never said everyone but there is a sub group that do and as for links, quotes etc I don't have to, as I said I'm banned so I don't need to be arsed to go looking because it makes no difference to me if the forum lives or dies

Then your point has absolutely no relevance to this discussion, I'm sorry but if you are going to make a statment you are not willing to support then why say it other than to **** stir?

Since when does a post in feedback have to have relevance? if I posted a lolcat or Picard pic would that be more relevant?

    Probably...

Actually this isn't true, although the final threads were locked by Thaed his initial gripe was with trout, as he felt trout was starting to over moderate the forum compared to how it had been moderated when he was made mod so I am gathering this probably continued with Thaed

So what you're saying is ultimatley he stormed off in a huff because a woman closed his thread? Trout he was willing to negotiate with but not Thaed?

No the straw the broke the camals back was from Thae, AFAIK he wasn't willing to negotiate with either of them as he didn't like either of their modding styles

For someone who couldn't give a toss about BGRH and went out of their way to get banned (I find this a bit sad really, you could just have ignored the place), you seem a touch gleeful in having a go, and as for your first statment, that's why some people are afraid to voice genuine concerns and gripes here, but then this is feedback so you probably don't care do you? It's just an excuse to stick the boot in right?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 43,044 ✭✭✭✭Nevyn

REally JSB and you have this from Marit's mouth or via pm ?
cos otherwise you are just speculating.

Again Mairt did not start this thread.

Honestly, can't we all just get along?

There's far too much drama here for a board that should have none of it.

Is that not what I said?

I'm not having a go, you just don't want to admit that I'm right. Fair enough alot of you are nice guys but there is a sub group (like it or not) on there that use it as a stage to bully people and it's ignored as "just a bit of fun" and as such is in line with the charter but the truth is the charter gives them licence to treat people like that because it all falls under the umbrella of "just a bit of fun". It rarely affected me because all that "real man" crap means nothing to me but I've seen lots of guys on there stop posting because the some people were allowed call their masculinity into question because of one or two wrongly worded posts, how do you think that feels for a person? how do you think that feels for a guy?
