    Looking for cheap, small screen laptop. Is the Vostro 1400 the only 14.1" screen laptop dell have? I though the Inspiron 1501 used to have this screen size as well but none of the e-value codes for the 1501 show this option.
    Any suggestions for a laptop ~€500 with screen <15"? although the Vostro 1400 at €542 (N1214001) isn't bad value.

    You could avail of the deal with the 14 inch Acer from tesco. But I went into Artane tesco today and they didn't have any below 15 inches :(.

    Hi guys,

    I'd like to get a computer but I don't know where to start on that Dell site. All very confusing.

    Want to set it up for Broadband at home and won't be doing anything too techy on it apart from Music studio software. Would like to get a mike and camera and all that. Is it better to get it as standard or just to buy one seperately. I would like to get something that's half decent and won't be obsolete in a year or two or is it a fact that everything is pretty much obsolute in a year?

    Took your advise Monotype, picked up a 14.1" Acer in Tesco for €385 when you take the vouchers off. Excellent value I think.

    I've seen fisher price laptops with better specs than that. If you do buy this you might want to stick ubuntu or something like that on it.

    Nope. I thought that laptop was running vista. Vista would be painfully slow on that spec no matter what you are doing. That's why I recommended sticking ubuntu on it. Turns out it's running xp which isn't so bad.

    Folks ,
    any one out there have a discount code for the inspiron 1520 N0152007. There is a code on the dmx website for 10 % but when the coupon number is inserted it seem to take the code number fine but it does not reduce the price of the laptop. it even say that the 10% discount coupon has been added but still the price does not drop?
    any one have a clue about this or am i doing somthing wrong, i have even gone as far as the check out but the price is the same? any helpers on this one? cheers
