In fairness he did give Mick Barry a bit of a kicking yesterday about the Ukraine war.

Shooting fish in a barrel admittedly but someone has to pull the trigger.

I couldn't be arsed to listen back, but what was Barry's angle on it all?

No money to be donated by the government to help Ukraine.

He had to be asked four times before he would admit that much.

Usual guff about how the money would end up going to big business as well.

Is the Cal & Marion gone? I don't catch the show live I just pick out podcast episodes and that weekly slot hasn't been showing up in a while.

More a reflection on boards.ie than anything else tbh. Loads of threads on this site that were once very active have completely flatlined in the last 12 months.

Matt just signed off a piece there telling us that Roe McDermott is a relationship writer with XXXX and a movie critic with Hot Press.

How do you get qualified for those 2 jobs? Talk about making up careers. I suppose she has found 2 different organisations to pay her for doing these jobs, so gotta admire her.

When I do tune in to the show , that is a section I always switch away from. It's so predictable like a " good cop bad cop " section. It just bores me these days.

Cal had an absolute mare. He needs to move aside. He was very bad when it came to Trump but had recovered but that was dire.

Matt has seen what happened to George Hook and Kevin Myers amongst others. If he dares say anything that isn't politically correct he'll be hounded from his job. I also wonder what his research team are like. Are they a bunch of Jennifer Gannon clones?

Good God. Haven't listened to this show in weeks, maybe months, but tuned in this evening on the way home from work for a change. Roe McDermott and some Lorcan Niyan (I think) fella on. Jesus I'm nearly convinced they have these guests on to troll the listener. At the very least to incite anger and frustration. Could you get two more right-on, liberal, politically correct, social justice warriors if you tried. I think Roe's modus operandi is to squeeze the word "racist" into as many sentences as is humanly possible.

Would it kill them to have a modicum of balance, impartiality? God forbid we might get an alternative voice. Absolutely pathetic. Back to Christmas FM for me!

Heard the show today at 6pm, and the newsreader just read out the news, without Matt and him having to do the silly to and fro.

Tell me the 5@5 and 6@6 are no more!

Haven't heard her in a couple of weeks. Wonder why, considering she was a firm favourite on the show with the man-hating angle brought into most subjects?
