eoinb is pretty sharp with the numbers and with that 650K being Pfizer and Moderna who have shown themselves (Pfizer in particular) dependable, I would not quibble over that.

J+J are a different matter. I know they have had production problems in the US but they are starting to remind me of AZ.
Contracted to deliver 55M doses to the EU this quarter but have delivered just 5M so far and are now saying they will only deliver 50% of that 55M.
Even if they fulfill that it would cut our share to 300K.

Even if they delivered that 300K it would come to 1.6M. Around 40%
Would we even use 300K before the end of June with the restrictions on its age group use ?

Bet they are glad they are not a UK company. They would be locked up by now.

Ya it is, I watched the snooker from the Crucible last month, they started the competition with 30% capacity at the beginning of April, full house by the final.

It really is great to see crowds back in stadiums, back at the golf, in some parts of the States they have been packing the stadiums for months...

It is great to see crowds back. You do know everyone at the crucible needed a negative pcr test before attending?

Now uk football is back a couple of weeks at massively reduced capacity and with 60% of the country vaccinated. And as our rollout continues we are already starting to plan return to spectator sport. Looking at 30k plus in CP for August.

UK had 15 cases overall from there pilot events

Knowing our lot they will want 0 and if even 1 case comes from it we stop everything

There will be uproar if this is the case. A lot of businesses will go under if they don't get a summer of trading this summer.

Who wants to spend the price of a house on a staycation for takeaway pints.

Outdoor dining open everywhere in Europe atm,
Only country to refuse the euros, told antigen testing won't work because we are all stupid,

We are an embarrassment at this stage.

    I really hope you're wrong

That would be over two months after indoor dining up the North

The cost for keeping restaurants and pubs closed for the extra month or part of it would be very high as well

Just like Dublin, Bilbao did not guarantee capacity due to regional restrictions. Now you can gerrymander your criteria for frothing rage whichever way you like, but it does not change the fact the Dublin was not alone in not kow towing to a sporting body in the middle of a pandemic

We will yeah, I'll take the high ground and let you blame the source when it's proven to be bollocks.

You can germander all you want, are Spain hosting the matches or not ? Simple question

Is Dublin the only city to lose games because they couldn't guarantee capacity? Simple question.

Watching the darts here. Crowds/fans back, everyone having a good time, relaxed and not a mask to be seen.

    It's great to see!

Its absolutely embarrassing not having crowds at sports here when you have seen the crowds that were at the PGA golf at weekend, NBA playoffs, premier league matches etc. Nothing stopping have some sort of attendance at the football/hurling league matches. Maybe 10-20% of the capacity.

Nah, I'll be having a pint while you're refusing to leave your house and claiming we're still locked down cause you can't cough on the barman, while calling us lockdown merchants.

Very embarrassing, you could say everyone around the world was laughing when they tuned into the Donegal Mayo hurling match last weekend

Like clockwork, if you believe I'm pro lockdown you'll believe anything (which you've already proven)
