It's a bit more breezy than previous few days so probably a bit trickier to pluck the numbers

Really feels like we’ve lost the plot as a country when healthy people start queueing up at pop up test centres to see if they are sick...

That's what GPs deal with all the time so nothing new!

Well not popup but this happens all the time with health screenings and annual blood tests, people withouf symptoms.

Philip Nolans modeling system must have crashed?

A day does not a trend make.

That was kind of my point. Everyone was calling this wave 4 when the only trend was stagnation, so may as well call the end of wave 4 with 3 days falling positive rate

Waiting long enough to count as many cases so leo doesn't look like a prat saying we won't see under 500 cases /s

You used to complain about cancer screening being delayed but now think healthy people shouldn't check if they are sick?

Trend is 9% increase in the 7 day average. It's clear it's not a stagnation. At best a blip from mother's day etc...

Nolan was predicting about a 200-400 cases a day range in March, not so long ago.

Bit of a difference between cancer and Covid to be fair.

Philip Nolan must have decided to make 2 more slides, bringing the lecture to 24-minutes.

A "healthy" person could unknowingly have both until they are tested to be sure.

What are your reputable sources? I’m not sure all the people on the motorways are going to and from school!?

I know you’re trying to fight the good fight. That it’s only a minority, that restrictions aren’t falling apart....but IMO its you that is prone to wishful thinking, not I

Yeah this topic predictably came up once or twice before. I'm on my phone so I'll dig them out later. But no anecdotal stuff is not reputable eitherway.

No wishful thinking. Just ignoring the word of mouth stuff and the stories which start "did you hear Johnny went on holiday to Killyleagh with the entire family etc.." or similar.

As for motorways - looking at some of the webcam footage the bulk seems to largely lorries, vans and other assorted traffic. And from times people travelling to and from work etc all which is considered essential travel afaik.

And the only important thing to be aware of would be the cancer. Undiagnosed cancer can result in death.

Oh yes. I forgot some people think Covid doesn't cause death.

It can if you have symptoms.
