Anyone have any idea why degiro would have closed my position in mara today?

Name change, nothing more. It screws up your daily± figure, but usually comes right in a day or so. Actually out of interest, I assume the end of year Degiro report for CGT knows that this was nothing other than a name change, and it doesn't consider it a taxable capital gain?

It never ceases to amaze me by how overvalued zoom is, $125 billion market cap after today, can someone enlighten me, what am I missing with this one?

It's a video conferencing platform, Microsoft do largely the same thing, Google do largely the same thing, both of them will improve too.

Zoom rely on enterprise customers, I dont see how they can squeeze their margins given that enterprise customers could just ditch them and move to teams. I personally just don't see how they grow into that valuation.

My guess is they are hoping sales force are stupid enough to pay it. Worked for slack.

K4H is on IB. If you have gotten as far as being allowed to actually trade then it should pop up. I had to change settings to get that far though. Think I'd to go into accounts settings and enable some options. It also didn't work when I was on the work VPN and worked when I disconnected off that. Not at all easy to use. Makes Degiro seem user friendly which is quite the feat

Have a look through their website, they do far more than that now. You can move your whole office to Zoom and cut the Eir/Three bill. They'll be in internet soon. Think Eir/AT&T but available in every country on earth. It could be the worlds biggest telephony utility eventually

It’s not just zoom, there is a massive tech bubble right now. When it pops, and it will pop, things will not be pretty! Look at companies like Tesla, snowflake, microstrategy etc. All are massively overpriced!

The recent surge is enough for me to cash out, considering a potential probable drop after the annual report.
Just sold now at $2.65 for 35% profit.
Got in Corsair while on discount at $39.03.
Will update with next position, as currently waiting for a better entry point.
Got calls for Ericsson(ERICB)112SEK expiring 16 April. - This will only go up. CEO of biggest competitor from Nokia even admitted they are lagging behind Ericsson now. With Huawei ban in USA and EU, ERICB is going to keep going up long-term.
Short position on Dalata at 4.095. CEO gone today. Was going to wait for their earnings before entering short, but this even sped things up. Will close my position at 3.00 for 25% gain. This will only take a few weeks.
    Still long on CRSR.

Renewable energy group has pulled back 20% over the past week, earnings slightly lower than expected and an issue with incorrectly claiming btc credits for blending fuel which will cost 38 million. Credits were the customers to claim rather than regi's. Back to my entry point and would buy up more but already have 25% in them.

Rkt- direct to consumer mortgage origination and refinance company. Announced better earnings than expected and a ~5% dividend. Adjusted ebitda of 11bn and market cap of 43bn. 40% short interest and from what I gather shorts will be stung by dividends. Real dog of a stock that looks like it's about to take off periodically but never does, just fluctuates between 19 and 22. Adjusted ebitda of 11bn and market cap of 43bn. I had sold the open and bought the close successfully a couple of times. Sold it after opening with the intent to buy back just before close but forgot so will probably rocket off on Monday.

Greensky found by accident whilst searching financials on gsk, allows small businesses to offer loans to customers. Thinking of moving half out of rkt into gsky pending some more research.

Rkt up to 26 now, geting a good bit of attention on r/wallstreetbets too...
Getting fomo after holding it while it was stagnant the past 7 months

Anyone following $LMND earnings last night? Bit underwhelming at first glance only forcasting a slight revenue increase for FY20 - however apparently this has been affected by a change in accounting policy in Q4. Hopefully the conference call this morning has more positives. Down 7% PM.

Another was $CLOV - unspectacular but in line with expectations, market not really liking it now down 5% PM

ACND, a SPAC that just announced DA with Beacon Street is at 10.06

Digital financial research company with multiple arms (including InvestorPlace)
Looks a company with good financials and growth prospects.
Just not a company with any particular "wow" factor keeping it low I think.

Anyone get in on Fubotv? Its a sport subscription service in the US. It’s doing well today. It went down to low 30 last week when everything was down; but it has recovered a lot since thankfully! There is talk of it adding an element to its service so you can bet while watching live sports which could be massive for them long term.

That's a... strong statement. Might be worth looking at why the previous CFO left, and why they're currently calling for Huawei to be retained in Sweden. You're right about the Huawei ban in the US, but remember that North American Operators are multi-vendor and targeting significantly different parts of the Spectrum with different telco providers. This matters.

The Softbank IPO and the Vodafone Greece scandal are also worth reading up on for some historic context of what might affect stock price going forward.

That said, 5G Telecoms plays are a good sector to be in for sure.

The sentiment is that they specialise in Boomer Investor newsletters in a depressed SPAC market. Reception is pretty poor.

Whole offices have already moved to Microsoft Teams with far far superior functionality in almost every respect, not to mention the in-built support for O365 and particularly Outlook calendar functionality. I'm not a MSFT fan but Teams is what Skype for Business should have been, and the Sharepoint integration and call quality/multi-device support is absolutely fantastic. Using it like 10 hours a day for over a year at this point and simply couldn't fault it. Zoom in comparison is an also-ran at best.

A lot of stocks I have been watching are slowly getting in the buy range. but no cash :(

Picked up C36 on recommendation here @.71

On a different note : I'm sure most of you guys are aware, you can set price-alerts in Yahoo finance app, it's very handy....Degiro doesn't have that

I use the MS suite at work but we also used the likes of Slack beforehand. In small, especially tech startups the likes of zoom and slack are king. These companies, and to a large degree, staff, have no interest in getting locked into the MS ecosystem.

Most of them will use a combination of Slack, possibly zoom too for calls although slack had that functionality, Google docs and a local Git install (I know it's owned by MS) and whatever other tools they need to operate.

No but it's very interesting, I heard some tv remotes now have fubo button on them, tie-ing in the gambling element would be the key for them.
    $30 was a great price.

Hey, I'm totally with you on the 'big bad microsoft' thing up to the last 24 months. And Slack is a fine product, nothing wrong with it. But you get into SSO and compliance concerns for companies above 5,000 employees and it presents some brickwall problems from a management and deployment point of view. That's nonwithstanding the issues with maintaining and patching software from 5-6 different vendors... and the OpEx costs quickly overcomes the saving in CapEx, which is written off anyway.

If I was bootstrapping? Absolutely I'd patch together a system like you described. But Powerpoint and Excel pivot tables/db hooks are going nowhere, and Sharepoint in particular is a superb community product that 'just works' in a way that a lot of its competitors don't. Integrated with Teams it's honestly a no brainer.

I use Slack and Discord a lot day to day. I also use **** like Trello. But there's a reason the Atlassian stack and the MS stack are so common - and it has a lot to do with SLA and support contracts ensuring a significant uptime and responsiveness in adverse conditions, as well as developer and 3rd party support. Look at something like Avepoint for example - there's a reason they've built such a massive business around facilitating the 'last mile' bits of O365 support.

I've been in LMND since it was around 45. My star performer last year but kicking myself for not getting out when it was higher. I believe it reached 185. Terrible drop today but hopefully it will rebound. Still a great business in my opinion.

Teams is only for internal calls. Zoom will let you setup a phone system that does the Teams bit AND gives you 01 numbers for customers

Below $10 now. Soo, if merger doesn't go through, you can redeem the $10 from the SPAC.
