    Correct decision. icon14.png

Hopefully we are in a position to return to where we are now before Christmas but I suspect not. 2 weeks wasted.

Nonsensical decision cheered on by fanatical lunatics. Just like the whole last series of lockdowns this also will fail- but let me guess what your “solution” will be - yes you guessed right folks- more lockdowns .....

Is it not being based off ICU availability? Current rates would see ICU go to 100% occupancy, trying to flatten the curve again will give them breathing space

But the numbers in ICU have barely been going up. Then you have surge capacity and private hospitals...

    I'm all right Jack!

Fcuk all the businesses and employees that go to the wall - sure they can just start up new businesses and get new jobs - now pass me the remote til I see what's on Netflix.

Ive asked that poster for objectivity purposes to outline their own employment and income circumstances- there are far too many non effected people screaming for other people to become unemployed- it’s vital people put their cards on the table with regards to “all in it together”.

Well if we are moving to Level 5 and the Army are not deployed armed to the teeth, I for one will be very disappointed

At least the GAA season will continue. That’ll sicken the lockdown misery merchants.

I have a better idea, you can leave and go to China or North Korea.
    You'll be impressed.

It's part of the distraction; I'd rather it was shut down to make people angrier.

All because 30 people are in ICU - completely nuts

they'll definitely dangle the carrot of level 1/2 for Xmas and then take it away when it's nearer the time.

I’d rather it didn’t- if the public want full lockdowns then give it to them by the bucket full- there’s quite a few very vocal Covid virtue signallers in the GAA who back in March had all the local pitches taped up to stop kids having a few healthy pucks about. Shut the lot

Careful now, you don't want to be called a Granny Killer.
Mass unemployment, suicide and deaths from other preventable illnesses don't matter.

On the main Covid forum the following has been mooted:

    - Army deployed
    - Garda can enter homes without search warrant
    - People awaiting test results to be branded

I really hope this is the peak of the hysteria but I fear there's a lot more to come

Oh absolutely nothing is going to change- numbers are going to increase actually with people coped all at home doing nothing. Shops etc aren’t reopening this side of Xmas

The CCP would wet themselves at the thought of having such people begging to be slaves.

I was expecting this. A 4 week half arsed lockdown is pointless and only does damage.

I don't know why people are shocked at level 5 for 6 weeks.

Two weeks ago NPHET made that recommendation. On that day there were 364 cases. Yesterday there were 1284. That's an increase of more than 300% in 14 days. So I think it's clear we have to do something. In another few weeks if we do nothing we'd be seeing 2000 cases a day or more and then hospitals would be fcuked.

If we enter level 5, do we have to roll back to level 4 then or can we enter level 3 from level 5? There’s not much difference between four and five anyway but it will mean more weeks under restrictions if we can only move back through the phases. Like they can’t honestly stand by having no retail open in the weeks before Christmas?!

Answer the question that you keep dodging, what is your job and will you lose it as a result of lockdowns?

It would make more sense to wait until numbers have dropped and then go back to 3. But we'll be on this merry go round again after christmas.

When this is over we need to increase our health system capacity by 50% so that if this happens again we can just plough on and there'll be space in the hospitals for anyone who gets sick.

Superman came back - unelected - he wanted level 5 - he's got level 5 - nothing else matters - the only thing that matters is Covid -
All summer , the HSE/NPHET had time to increase the ICU bed count, couldnt do that , but they can impose lockdown - the answer to eerything.

Why do we have to do something? How many have died?

    It's Level 5 but not Level 5.

    Meat Plants can stay open.
    Schools stay open.
    Ports still open.
Horse Racing allowed to carry on behind closed doors
    Manufacturing and Construction still allowed.

Guess Level 5 is really Level 5+Big Business...

Now you know who FF/FG listened to

Horse racing going on, but I’m not supposed to go for a walk in the woods. They can f%€@ right off, I’m not doing it. Not this time, or ever again.

I’m like “whatever“ at this stage, feeling sorry for those losing jobs for sure, I’ll just be bored and sick of my 4 walls, but many will have it much worse i reckon

You don't think 2000 or 3000 cases a day is a problem? Our health service can't deal with that and also treat all the other non covid patients.
