To be fair, ActBlue has amassed over $95M since her death, as of 10:30 am this morning. I suspect it's hit $100M by now

Not even 48 hours since Ginsburg's death and the Trump team are selling 'Fill that Seat' t-shirts...... But it's the democrats are the problem and Trump is very classy....

In fairness, I found Trumps first response to be far more classy than Bidens but I admit I may be biased as a Trump supporter. Trump expressed sorrow at her death and said that no matter what side you are on, she was a great woman. That was it, Trump did not try to capitalize on the death.

Biden on the other hand, said the usual platitudes and went straight to business, speaking about how and when her replacement should be selected. I don't think he should have done that, there is a time and a place for politics.

What I believe to be Biden's first response:

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=knbwzRppZr0

And when I am fairly certain is Trumps first response:

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=knlJWu815C0

(I cant find a video of Trumps response without that music playing so I can only assume it was being played over a speaker at the airport)

I would say it was pretty appropriate, particularly since her deathbed wish related to the filling of the seat. Believe the Republicans announced they would be filling the seat within 30 minutes of her. Within 24 hours Trump was bigging up filling the seat.

Now they're selling t-shirts about it via the campaign.... Trying to sell him as classy in any way is nonsense. And he is very much so capitalising on it.

Trump and the word "classy" don't belong in the same sentence.

I actually don't believe that happened (but would be happy to be corrected). She knew she was dying, she would have stepped down long ago if she was so concerned about it.

You think her granddaughter is lying?

Roe can be whittled down by a court case though. An amendment to the constitution requires an overwhelming majority of support in Congress and support from the states to ratify. We couldn’t even get the ERA passed and he wants to scare plebs into thinking the 2nd amendment is so fragile. It’s pathetic really.

Kavanagh and Gorsuch have already voted to protect abortion rights.

Pretending Roe Vs Wade will be overturned is political posturing.

I think a broader problem is the insistence on only confirming Justices that swear to God that it was wrongly decided.

That people think it is relevant, that's a bit much.

If they are doing it to play for leverage, fine but quite a few seem to think it matters.

Maybe it matters because she was highly respected, unlike most of the Republican ghouls that have circled since her death.

The poster said "I actually don't believe that happened (but would be happy to be corrected)." so they're implying it's made up. Also there is an established precedent on the issue, it was established 4 years ago by the GOP.

yeah getting mixed up between 200 million and 200,000 is so much worse than watching 200,000 people die and doing nothing about it.

20,000 lies but ignore all that because Joe gaffed 200 million.

It's a lot less embarrassing than openly supporting the guy responsible for 200k deaths. But keep posting your silly videos, that's all you lot have.

Poor old Joe. I'm wondering what the excuses will be in a few weeks time when he loses. The reality is the Democrats will have only themselves to blame. An open goal running against Trump and this is the best they can provide.

Biden still well ahead in the polls, and with a wave of countries heading back to lockdowns over the next 3 weeks, not much time for Trump to claim it's over, and make some gains, only chance for Trump now is he wins the debates somehow:
    https://ig.ft.com/us-election-2020/

Think about it, if they were confident of winning, they wouldn't be pushing on getting a new SCOTUS in place so quickly.

Looking at the polling, it looks mostly like a revert to 2008/2012 Obama polling with a few oddities like Texas being in the mix. Wisconsin will probably be the bellwether of it all.

Joe will be classey and accept defeat. No doubt he will thank his supporters upon conceding unlike Hillary. I do fear there will be riots from the same people who have done so over the past few months only much, much worse.

Same posters, same tactics, no substance as usual. Maybe tomorrow they will post something that wasn't talked about and explained 12 hours previously.

He lies to their face and they cheer. Trump supporters are beyond redemption. (In case you missed it there are two teleprompters in front of him)

I just report those posts now as they don't contribute anything worthwhile to the thread. Different day, same old rubbish.

You've posted doctored videos, and not responded when called out on it. You haven't said a word about Trump's town hall.

I'd be interested in your thoughts in both of those things.
1800_Ladladlad, post from a while ago. Notice you've been posting in the thread since.

Why were you posting doctored videos of Biden? What do you think of Trump's town hall from last week?

By the end this speech no less :pac: Good old Joe. It's hard not to dislike him as he's obviously losing his marbles up top but how funny is it this guy is running for president

Did Trump not say they were sending an astronaut to “Nars” a few days ago?

Also called himself Donald Prump over the weekend. You can see the moment he has a brain glitch and has to reset.

    .

This actually happens quite often with Trump. Very strange.
