Yes I agree, they both have major vetting problems. I cant even begin to imagine how difficult it is to manage (and vet) teams of these kinds of people. Their skill sets are very rare and then to make sure they have a clean background?? Not easy!

All humans have skeletons in the closest, even you and me, dig far enough, and you ll find them!

Trump has been criticized in the past for selecting staff with dodgy backgrounds. Well it seems Joe has the same kinds of troubles... It turns out Jackie Singh (his cyber security guy) was a member of a racist/homophobic group known as "The Gay <N word> Association. He routinely spammed internet chat rooms with racist and homophobic content. Thoughts? IMHO, this guy should be removed from the Biden campaign with immediate effect.

    From:

    https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/news/senior-biden-campaign-cybersecurity-expert-participated-in-racist-internet-troll-group

"The GNAA, described by the Terrorism Research and Analysis Consortium as an "extremist right wing terrorist group," has claimed responsibility for a variety of attacks on webpages and businesses, including on then-candidate Barack Obama's 2008 presidential campaign page, and vandalizing the Wikipedia pages for Hillary and Bill Clinton in 2016. "

    Another article:

    https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/politics/senior-biden-campaign-cybersecurity-expert-participated-in-racist-internet-troll-group/ar-BB19aT5w?li=BB141NW3

Of course he should be removed.

Must laugh at these desperate efforts to equivocate though. Biden has what amounts to a very nasty internet troll on his team who should of course be shown the door. Trump on the other hand has hired multiple staff who have been indicted and convicted of felonies and criminal activity in senior national security positions within his inner circle.

A sh!t storm coming with the death of SCJ Ginsburg. From a few bits I've seen a place opened up in Obama's final months (march) and he got blocked by McConnell in the senate, not even a whole lot of time passed with the death of Ginsburg and McConnell saying that Donnie and himself will look to fill the roll asap. I believe this will tip the balance of SCOTUS to conservative?

Her supposed (one of) her final wishes was that her place is left to the next president to fill.

Her final wishes are not relevant, only in their use as leverage.

Political party trying to advance their interpretation, hardly shocking.

    Play to win.

No surprise that's what you pick up on.. totally pass over the plain hypocrisy of McConnell blocking Obama nominating someone yet it will be balls to the wall to get a new SCJ installed probably even after trump loses in the election.

DO AS WE SAY, NOT AS WE DO!!!

What Trump said about blue states was disgraceful. Disgraceful because Trump is no longer (and almost never been) even pretending to be the president of all US citizens. He uses anything and everything, including something as grave as a pandemic, to further push his us vs. them tactics. Could you see him using that rhetoric for anything else? "Well, we're doing much better in tackling heart disease when you remove the red states of Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi and Texas. Basically just all the red states."

He can't even be subtle about it. He has to say they're blue states. He couldn't even make the inference by mentioning individual states by name and then play dumb. Honest to god, if a Democrat president was pulling the stuff Trump was, but going the other way, the militia groups over there would make Antifa look like a sideshow.

The Republican stance in 2016 was that the American voters should have a say in the future direction of the supreme court in an election year hence they blocked Obama's nomination. That position is now gone out the window. The republicans are demonstrating the height of hypocrisy and that they have zero principles.

With the world moving ever slightly left, the GOP could be digging themselves a hole that whilst might look good for a while could be the one they fall into. Ignoring things that aren’t rules but are conventions of sorts may work short term but once one side does this the other side is free to work away. That may reap in the long term what the sow in the short. Trump won’t care but the party should.

He's a pathological liar and the devotees in the crowd cheering as they get lied to. MAGA is a cult.

$56M and counting since last night. Shattering record after record.

Also the momentum building against Lindsey Graham right now... I am reasonably confident we will have seen the last of this eel in the Senate.

I personally do not think that roe v wade or the 2nd amendment are in any way vulnerable to whoever is elected to the supreme court, theres no will for it.

However many dem grifters keep saying roe v wade is on the table if donny gets back in, which is a lie, him responding in kind with the conservative bogeyman is standard electioneering and many presidents have done it before him

Roe can be whittled down by a court case though. An amendment to the constitution requires an overwhelming majority of support in Congress and support from the states to ratify. We couldn’t even get the ERA passed and he wants to scare plebs into thinking the 2nd amendment is so fragile. It’s pathetic really.

But the Democrats would be hypotcrites if they condemn the Republicans for doing what they tried (and failed) to do?

This is the greatest load of nonsense I’ve ever heard.

The Democrats would be hypocrites for holding the Republicans to their own standard. I’ve heard it all now.

When the Democrats tried to get a new justice in, it was the first time in 80 years that a vacancy came up in an election year. The Republicans said no, so they set the standard.

The Democrats would be hypocrites ffs.

Doesnt matter who was in power, both sides would try to get their pick in, democrats would do the exact same thing.

Both sides would be hypoctites - The Demoncrats tried it - so that set a standard that is ok to try.

The Republicans blocked it so they would be hypocrites now to say it's ok

    Threads merged

We really do not want a new thread every time there's a headline about one of the contenders. We've more than enough threads about Trump in particular

No, Democrats would be hypocrites if they tried to block this after their own guy got in.

Fact of the matter is, their guy didn’t get in because the GOP said no, the GOP said it won’t happen in the election year.

Everything the Democrats said and did before that was made irrelevant, because the GOP blocked it therefore setting a new standard.

Now, the GOP wants to go back on that standard and the Democrats are holding them to their standard.

Both side are hypocrites ffs. This fake fence-sitting bull**** is exactly what it is. False.

GOP set the standard. They are the hypocrites. Stop chatting absolute bollocks.

You need to calm down you idiot, both sides are hypocrites and biden has proved this by his 2016 statement and McConnell has also by his statement this time around, if you cant see that go for a walk and clear your head.
