Anything like that on your radar these days?

I won't be around in thirty years.... I'm more interested in spending now :D

But there is no magic involved, just hard work - say 20 hours a week and of course learning the art of doing nothing.

It comes down to stock screening, modelling and lots and lots of reading...

I'd say everyone will have the same idea so sell 2 or 3 days before battery day.

Could you fill us in on why you think battery day will have a negative effect on the stock? Is he going to throw another ball bearing at the truck?

Couldn't buy the PR he got for that.

    Hi,

In Degiro when you sell the shares they are in the cash account - how much does it cost per day roughly leaving 1K in that? There is a new deposit account to move money over to the new deposit account - it states there is a -.50% interest rate on that account. Is this account a better setup than the money maker thing.

    Thanks,
    R

You still get compensated for a balance up to €2500, but now covered by €100,000 guarantee scheme, previously €15,000.

So keep the balance in moneymaker =< 2500 and rest in the deposit account or just withdraw it

Think you'll be obliged to change over to Flatex.

I can't tell what effect battery day will have on the stock price exactly, however in general with all the hype beforehand the price will most likely rise, and if you are planning on getting out before battery day then I think it would be wise to get out that little bit sooner than the day beforehand. I can guarantee that if everyone is talking about Tesla the previous day or so and pulling up the price you'll have a serious amount of day traders and institutions trying to grab a quick bit of profit on the way up and sell quickly.

Bought into INO and VXRT yesterday after getting my head around how the COVID19 news that came out of Spain re the lack of herd immunity. Looks like when it does come out we going to be dosing COVID19 vaccines for quite some time. Both are showing promise and are part of project "warp speed"

INO dipping into some key levels now might be worth getting an entry this week for the weeks ahead. Is it still in the race owlszat? haven't been following any of these just had it added it to my watchlist.

What are peoples thoughts on Gilead? I'm tempted with the current price and the fact antivirals are being used to treat covid. There cancer trials with tango also look promising.

I have had my eyes on them but since my assumption is that the overall market is about to experience a second leg of the dip I am waiting to see what the cruise operators are doing as part of this.

Having said that, at the current prices they are already dirt cheap if you have a medium to long term timeline and are assuming they will likely survive, and IMO for someone who is ready to lose all their money in case they go bankrupt, the reward/risk ratio is already pretty good (there will be almost no earnings this year, but based on last years earnings they all have a P/E ratio below between 1.5 and 3 ... so if/when earnings return to historical levels the current share prices will be insanely low). Anyone going in should keep in mind that there is a little of a gamble in buying them though, as there is a really possibility of the companies going bankrupt and those shares becoming worthless (I believe some of them have used ship as collaterals for very high interest rate loans they need to survive while they can’t operate, which I think means that if the impossibly to sail lasts for too long they could lose their ships which would likely be used by new companies in better financial shape once the situation becomes more favourable).

I got in at 20$ on both - I had the chance to get out on both at near 20 from a big drop. I am sorry I didn't but if held long and they dont go bankrupt happy days. It's a complete gamble.

Like when I bought Irish bank shares in the crash when they were 60% down thinking they cant drop any further surely.

Looks attractive at current levels, however FDA apparently rejected one of their supposedly block-buster trials. tread carefully.

They announced antiviral Remdesiver which was endorsed by Fauci, the stock went up a few points and then dropped. If that didn't move it nothing will.

$GRWG for me. It's essentially an online Garden Store, but replace flowers with weed. Had a big jump last week, on the back of whopper results. Big expansion plans, and seems quite vogue. Will likely be a short term thing for me, up 10% again today.
+62% since Monday on this, anyone else look into it?

Looks like we might have a nice red day today - hopefully get an entry, will buy down to 12.40 and think about cutting it if it goes lower.

GAN could be in for a few big weeks, today’s bump was on New Jersey gambling laws, they’re announcing a new Tier 1 client soon, the CEO is making an appearance tonight, more states legalised online gambling, and PENN to announce results soon.

Thanks to the poster who alerted us to them a few months back.

Just announced the new client is PENN gaming.

    GAN gonna fly today :)

GAN is now the way to get exposure to PENN growth, Draftkings growth, Paddy Power growth, and a host of casinos

Picked up some GAN about a month ago but had just been breaking even until yesterday. Already up 7% in premarket. Huge news for it

Yep holding GAN, missed on the way up but picked it up in the recent dip @ 20, great recommendation.

Has Degiro changed something recently. I have some money cash, and also a smaller amount "Available to trade". How do I transfer the cash to use for trading?

  • Registered Users Posts: 194 ✭✭outonawing

Have any of you SPAC investors got a holding in Lancadia Holdings ll (LCA)? It's merging with Golden Nugget Online Gaming.

I'm tempted to swap from DraftKings, but concerned that it is taking on $300 mil debt, that was incurred by another of Fertitta's companies.
