Weddings should be banned full stop, awful things they are lol.

Anyway surely a wedding venue is never going to be able to observe SD, a few (many) drinks, on the dance floor, resident's bar LOUD sing song (aerosol Covid spread omg) etc. and so forth. Hilarious.

Unless the guests have to sit down within 1-2 metres and behave themselves all night long. Can't wait to see how it works out, but I can guess, meanwhile back at the ranch, I have to sit down and behave myself in the pub. Uh oh.

If it's done like in Europe , the wedding couple have to provide a list of all guests to the local health organization ,2 weeks prior to the event.
All guests are asked to keep a list of close contacts for two weeks after the wedding.
To ensure an easy trace system in the event of an outbreak.

I wouldn't go to a large indoor event like a wedding while this is circulating, no matter what the limit is. We've seen from other countries how quickly this can spread in an indoor setting, particularly anything involving lots of talking and singing. I wouldn't expect a very big limit on indoor events unless we have a huge surplus of contact-tracers with nothing else to be doing.

May God forgive me, but weddings give me a pain where the sun don't shine. Anything that will give myself and OH an out would be fantastic. Talk about formulaic boredom.

    OK I am that person.

    What’s happening with AIB?

I'm interested in that myself as they raised over 615millon selling of some of there most risky deaths know as AT1 notes.
Demand of 5 billion in offers were made witch shows that demand for Irish banks are in a very comfortable place at the moment compared to other European banks.

Sam McConkey on the Last Word now saying it 1 in a million chance of picking up covid19.

You heard it hear first. All pubs will be open 6th July. Reputable enough source that I'm not going to say.

    What’s happening with AIB?

    They are struggling.
They reduced the already miserable interest rates on savings accounts. You could get free banking if you kept 2500 in your account. They’re scrapping that. They’re bringing in a contactless charge. They tried during Covid but got a huge backlash.

They’ve already stated that job losses are going to happen.

Now they’re more or less forced to give every customer a pay holiday on loans and mortgages.

They’re certainly not in a great situation.

Doesn't Leo usually only give a Friday speech when there's a big change coming the following Monday, rather than Monday week?

Do I dare dream of a pint this Monday coming :pac::pac:

Nightmare more like. Supping on your pint, sitting in your designated, cordoned-off yellow box, which you'e not allowed leave, except in exceptional circumstances - like if you want to go to the toilet, or even go home. You'll need permission for either of these ventures outside your box though. Doesn't sound like much of a dream to me.

Yeah I was listening to him, basically saying open up everything and time to get concerts going again this summer but anyone coming into the country has to quarantine for the foreseeable future to try keep the virus out of the country

Any source for this. Sounds like a plan to send a regret notice to the B+G under GDPR/privacy issues. Happy days.

You can tell can't you that weddings are not one of my favourite things! But in my defence we only go to close family weddings now.

I'm not sure how that works given that the NI will not quarantine UK visitors, we have a common travel area with the UK which is important, we have tourist dependent businesses and lots of Irish people are planning to go abroad for travel or work. It's the same issues we had back in March with infected Irish people returning from skiing trips etc.

    That's what's required in Poland

What about cinemas? Any date for them? Wouldn't mind seeing a film in the cinema.

Well he's getting in the good news before the rotating Taoiseach Micheal Martin anyway. Good move! And off he goes to his Corona pad with Matt in NY or something like that. Out on a blast that man.

Looks like he'll get the press conference next Friday too, Martin replacing him on Saturday seems to the date thrown about.

Expecting it to be dropped down on 20 July. No point opening the pubs then with it in place.

That's the private bus operators getting a kick in the arse, if that's the case.

He can't replace him unless he's elected to do so. First the members votes will have to come back. Anyone planning to protest should make a note of the "new" Dail on the quays!

    50 people indoor gatherings
Gyms, cinema, theater open where protocols in place
    2m rule staying for now
Weddings up to 100 from July 20th
Hairdressers, barbers and spa facilities to open June 29th

    Looks promising

Good to hear about things opening up. At least the wary can avoid, and those who want to can avail.

    I suppose it's now an individual's choice.

Laughing at the weddings though with the 2 metre rule in place. LOL.

Tough to keep 2 metres dancing at a wedding !

Its already gone for certain sectors such as restaurants.

So only a matter of time before it drops back further
