What’s the story with private transport providers?

Probably not viable business model with the 2 metres.

Laughing at the weddings though with the 2 metre rule in place. LOL.

If weddings up to 100 people isn't for another month, I'd say the 2m thing will be reduced, if not entirely gone, by then.

2m and capacity limits leaves them out of the plan for now I would think.

So what’s the story with gyms and pools, what does restricted reopening mean?

Hello all! Did Leo Varadkar reference Mean Girls this evening in his speech....

I think we should reopen fully, cases are minimal for weeks. George Lee is on RTÉ trying to hype up the fear as per usual - ‘people might not want to go into the pub/restaurant/hairdresser?!’ Seriously?! He should’ve seen my local park this afternoon!

That they will have restrictions. Mine has produced an app and I'll need to book a slot. Check with the gym.

    Reopening is too slow

Limit numbers and time slots that need to be booked I'd guess. But all good to open in 10 days.

Personally I'd be a bit wary of big gatherings in an indoor setting. Outdoors no problem. Just me, for now.

I get it that everyone is different and risk assessment is either non existent or is taken into account.

Whatever, once restrictions are lifted it will be an individual's choice anyway.

Time to make masks mandatory in public transport as is the case elsewhere in the EU!

Announced today that you can have indoor gatherings of 50 people on 29 June.

Assuming 2m distancing does that mean that all pubs (ignoring food requirement) can now open 29 June?

Be interesting to see what cinemas had to adhere to. If it's a max of 50 as the indoor gathering rule is, I'd say some mightn't bother opening especially with no decent films out.

Mulan isn't out til the 24th and Tenet on the 31st, so until they're out, there's actually no new films out that will attract people I think.

We don't really do mandatory. Our new cases are hovering just above single figures and there has been commentary on the complexity of doing it for public transport.

Don’t see how the fitness industry can operate under those restrictions. Membership is purshsxed giving unlimited access

Only realistic way to reduce 2m distance in public transport is by having masks as an extra layer of protection.
Other European countries managed to do it just fine, and have either completely lifted or reduced capacity restrictions in public transport.
Can you imagine how crowded luas platforms will get once most businesses are open and capacity is still limited to 1/3?

Beer gardens allowed more? Are the figures for 20 july indoor 100?youd have to think the 2m rule could be announced to be dropped a week before.Lots of signs to be edited if so!

There. Is quite a few new releases that were due out since March but release date's were postponed
You will probably see a fast tacking for release

Yeah that's the big question - when to reduce that 2m. Our new cases are not huge despite two phases and most of the country will open from next week.

No, you won't. All the big films have been rescheduled and then a knock on effect of other films being rescheduled. Even stuff like Wonder Woman was only pushed last week when opening in August.

There's a serious amount of effort put into deciding when to release films. No studio is taking a risk on a 100m+ release.

It's likely any cinema that will open will work with reshowings of older films. Then when Mulan and Tenet release, if not pushed again, expect most screens to just be them assuming social distancing still applies.

Government sources appearently indicating as per Varadkar said the other day they expect 5,000 outdoor events to be allowed from September

common sense prevail, the end is near (what the end is i dont knw)

Have a few concerts in Oct/Nov/Dec but wait and see i suppose. There in the 3arena. Sometimes it the band/act etc that are choosing to postpone their tours

Assume it falls into the sports category and would be less than 200 outdoors, dont see why not.
