I heard Titans will be in this crossover, is that right? And if so, which of the, now 6? shows do I not need to watch to catch up. I stopped watching them all around the Savitar times, don't know if I even finished that episode, but was watching the 4 in order of release. Don't think I can manage 2 1/2 full seasons of the 4 original (Legends, Flash, Arrow, Supergirl) on top of a season of Batgirl...

Started watching Anime instead and it kinda took over any spare watching time I had... Think I got burned out of the DC shows.

Titans appearing is a rumour plus they film in Toronto I think. In relation to which shows not to watch, most of the shows apart from this season of Flash and Arrow. You could probably find season recaps of the shows on YouTube. For Black Lightning all you need to know is that he has lightning powers and the show has had no interaction with the rest of the arrowverse until now.

There will probably be plenty of refreshers for all the shows leading up to the event

Sweet. I'll stick with Arrow and Flash so. Reading through the Batwoman thread and mentioned that Arrow is finishing, so will definitely watch that. Cheers folks!

This season of Arrow and Flash have been alot better compared to previous seasons as for Arrow it's only 10 episodes so no filler and for Flash the season is broken into 2 arcs. Hopefully going forward the other shows do something similar. Smaller season lengths lead to better storytelling and less filler.

I concur, as i'm pretty sure it was the Savitar season that put me off them all!

Arrow did that for season 2.

How, didn't season 2 have a full 23 episode season?

Sorry I meant the 2 arc storyline like The Flash this season

Arrow usually have one season wide arc where the season big bad is either gradually introduced in the second half of the season, examples would be Slade in Season 2 , Ra'As Al Ghul, Prometheus or big bad is revealed straight away like Damien Darhk and Diaz. Most of the Arrowerse shows have followed the same formula with Flash doing something different this season.

The Superman / Lois spin off show has been greenlit, so looks like the CW stable ain't getting any slimmer.

Have to say THAT cameo blew my mind.
Berlanti said Ezra Miller reached out to them and it was actually filmed after everything was wrapped and in the can.

I don't think this crossover was the best but that made me giddy. You could feel the joy both of actors.

That was a curious series finale for Arrow.

After Diggle's final scene, it's going to be hard to ignore that elephant in the room across the Arrowverse.

It has been hinted so they had to pay of the fans as much as they can with Diggle.
He did say they are moving to Metropolis so could be Superman show

English is such a funny language.

Did he throw them into the sea as bait for fish or something?

    Or is Lois the director?

    :D

Apparently Stateside, the CW will be repeating the Crisis event because they don't have enough new shows in their April schedule. Mad stuff.

All of The CW's original programming has been put on ice until January 2021.

I've seen things about the battle scenes will have to change no more close proximity fighting for instance also no more group fighting

Where you getting that? Last I read there was no clarity yet for unions or groupings about how production shooting would function post CoVid. There's going to be a lot of things to work out, logistically. Unless a specific US state decides to abandon procedures ... then suddenly we can expect everything to be shot somewhere like Arkansas lol.

That sounds utterly ludicrous, and comes off as spitballing through caution. Limit love scenes? Let's just rub two cutouts of the actors together lol. Or a series of very racy, suggestive dinners, When Harry Met Sally style. That whole article was surreal to read, but also sprinkled with caveats and abstracts.

The synopsis for Flash's 7th season has also been released, I imagine it had something to do with the original Reverse Flash cliff hanger that was planned...

The CW shows already felt pretty low budget with an execution you had to look past, I shudder to think how rough they might be if everything's shot with an attempt to avoid contact. Obviously safety first but I'd rather no shows at all than weird episodes where no two people are ever in the same shot, or fight scenes becoming even more limp. Cinematography and choreography ain't that channels strengths.

Well they could probably get around it by using alot of green screen as in if you were 2 having two people close together in a scene you would film them separately with green screen in back and then add them together in post production. Action scenes would be alot more difficult

I don't think CW have the chops or budget though to pull off digital trickery like that, and when I've seen other shows do it (such as Season 4 Arrested Development, when they couldn't get all the cast together in one shoot) it nearly always looks awful anyway. I dunno, we'll see and maybe it'll be fine - just wondering if the smart move wasn't to defer the whole lot until things return to normal.

Yeah filming any type of show or film while social distancing is going to be very difficult. Thing is they can't just defer til everything gets to normal as imagine all the crew members (not the actors) who would be out of jobs for months.

    Lol....Batman v Superman CW style.

The only thing I can think of that links Batwoman to Superman is Batman. What if the crossover is about finding him since he has disappeared. Also makes sense to only do a crossover with the 2 newest shows as gives the other shows a break from the logistical nightmare that is the yearly crossover. Hopefully going forward, they just do 2 show crossovers.

Rudy Rose quits Batwoman I see on Twitter.

Couldn't watch it with her in it she just can't act and was a charisma vacuum, I might give it a chance next season if they hire someone with a bit of charisma at least even if they can't act.

It actually was not bad. I wonder will they go with it as the same Batwoman or will there be some reset due to something. I am guessing it is due to surgeries on the herinated discs

Black Lightning Spinoff Painkiller Starring Jordan Calloway Eyed at CW

    https://tvline.com/2020/11/12/painkiller-series-black-lightning-spinoff-jordan-calloway-the-cw/
The CW is popping Painkiller into development, ordering a planted spinoff pilot centered on Jordan Calloway‘s Black Lightning character.

The pilot will air as the seventh episode of Black Lightning‘s upcoming fourth season (which launches Monday, Feb. 8). Black Lightning EP Salim Akil will write and direct the installment.

Here’s the official logline of the offshoot: “Khalil Payne is a young man ridden with the guilt of his troubled past from his former life in Freeland City, where, as a super-enhanced killing machine known as Painkiller, he was both a member of Tobias Whale’s gang and a weapon of Agent Odell and the shadowy ASA. After attempting to bury the darker, devastatingly lethal Painkiller part of his persona, Khalil has distanced himself away from everyone he knows and loves in a new city, Akashic Valley, in order to find peace, but peace never comes easy for men with pasts like Khalil Payne and Painkiller. As his violent, destructive history crashes his idyllic new beginning, Khalil is thrusted back into action with a new mission — bring justice where he once gave out punishment — but to do that, he will first have to deal with and harness his darker side, Painkiller.”

Arrow alum David Ramsey is returning to the Arrowverse, in multiple (and occasionally mysterious!) ways.

Some 10 months after Arrow signed off, Ramsey is set to direct a total of five episodes of upcoming Arrowverse seasons — including at Supergirl and freshman spinoff Superman & Lois (which bows Feb. 23, 2021), our sister site Deadline reports.

Ramsey previously directed two episodes of Arrow, where he was an OG cast member: Season 7’s “Past Sins” and the final season’s time-loopy “Reset.”

On camera, Ramsey will guest-star as Arrow‘s John Diggle in a total of five episodes across The Flash (which opens Season 7 on Feb. 23), Supergirl, Batwoman (Season 2 premieres Jan. 17) and Superman & Lois.

But most curiously, he will play “a mystery role” during Legends of Tomorrow‘s sixth season.

Naomi debuted as a comic book series in 2019 with Naomi: Season One, which was co-written by Brian Michael Bendis and David F. Walker, and illustrated by Jamal Campbell.
