Ah that’s pure speculation from me! I didn’t get an email for an interview myself. I just thought it would have been done the same way as the AGS..

23,984 (459.65) weekly in brackets. Unless there is a shift allowance.

    Just finished the interview!
Pretty straight forward, just asked the 4 competencies stated in the applications and to discuss examples of them

Check all the competencies in the job description, have a few examples and use STAR method. Good luck :)

Yeah I was too. Two interviewers, one asked the first two competencies and the other asked the next. There was a few short questions asked at the start about my education history but other than that pretty much asks what is in the application.
I assumed maybe its because there is training for the actual job and they just want to know what you did in previous jobs.

Ah I see, I assumed that they would have asked more about the education and work history, given the amount of detailed information on the application form!

    Sorry for the late reply!
I asked about Dublin locations and they just said it will more than likely be offered somewhere close to your area, or you may be able to request somewhere if you are selected.

I had my interview 2 weeks ago. Was told that Friday 6th Dec the last interview will be held and we should hear from them this week or at the latest on week ending 22.12.
My interview was straight forward, they did ask few specific questions ie: PCO duties, safety, what do I know about prison service etc.

Had interview today person from IPS was fine.
Person from public jobs a little more particular was told people would know before Christmas.
5 weeks training total. 3 in portlaoise 2 in a Dublin prison.
They seemed to be big on what programs you know., word excel etc.

Was told plenty of opportunities to rise in ranks

I wonder would that 5 weeks of training put off many people? It’s not easy if you’ve got a family!

Especially if its starting at basic pay scale dont see why training cant be dont in Dublin since all roles are Dublin based
