Anyone find that the battery depletes much quicker than it used to. Before this update if I took the phone off the charger at 7am I would still have about 65% at midnight. Now I might have only 20% left at midnight. Having to charge every night now.

Got it too... Not such a big difference really.

60 seconds had my sound settings back.

The bigger rounded app shortcuts look like a regression rather than progression. Nice touch though having the settings wheel turn after closing it.

I had to go into display settings and reduce icon sizes by 1, and it looks great now. They are cloning the iphone icon looks I guess.

Just got MIUI 11 and the app icons look really cartoonish. It's impossible to see a notification on the icons anymore. Any advice on how to change this?

Look three posts over your one.

Go to home screen settings and reduce icons by 1

    Completely missed that, thanks.
Went into display settings but can't see the option.

Go to "home screen" in settings.
    Then go " customise layout"

Icon sizes are at the bottom.

I'm on xs at the moment

Yep, there were 3 APN options and selecting the second one live.vodafone.ie or something seems to have fixed it for the time being but I'll have to head into a vodafone shop to show them the problem to get the money refunded. Even at that I don't like not being able to edit the APN settings

Yes it very annoying alright.it is a mu11 problem as my mate has the mi 9 phone and he has the same issue with vf.let me know how you get on with bf if they have a fix cheers

While it may have been an Miui error that changed the APN, you can thank Vodafone for locking you out of the settings. Details are here, but basically, about 2 years ago google changed the setup of APNs on android to allow carriers to lock phone users out of the settings so as to stop users from using tethering with the data included in their plan (i.e. for no extra charge). Now, when tethering is activated, you phone automatically changes from the live.vodafone.com APN to hs.vodafone.live (on my PAYG phone anyway, might be different for bill pay users) and you get charged stupid money for any data used (as it is outside of your contract).
The only way to change it on your end is to root your phone and manually change some files.

I'm with vodafone, and I haven't been able to do it for years on unrooted phones (originally Nexus 5x, then pocophone and now Mi 9t Pro).

Had the pocophone for over a year now and never had an issue deleting the hot spot APN.

And you are on vodafone pay as you go?
I don't have the pocophone anymore, but it's the same on my Mi 9t Pro - hs.vodafone.ie and live.vodafone.com are both on phone, live.vodafone.com has a "Delete APN" button while hs.vodafone.ie just has a "discard" option (which doesn't seem to do anything). Screenshots are attached.

Another thing that I really liked is changing the icon pack. I changed it to ' pixels ' free icon pack and it looks more stock android than fake iPhone now. Icons are small circles and leaves plenty of room between them and for notifications/counters.

Since the last update "GetApps" is constantly giving me alerts on my phone, suggesting I download apps etc.

That and the stock calendar (not the Google one) are doing my head in tbh, tried disabling notifications from both, but they both seem rather good at reappearing.

Never even opened getapps so not getting anything from it and the calendar app behaves ok. Have you tried removing those apps using the pc program mentioned earlier in the thread.

Not sure about Ireland, but certainly works if you set it to UK
