Of course a single missile can be shot down. Iran tactics would be to overwhelm defences with missiles. Since they have the largest ballistic missile inventory in the middle east they can do it. They also are not boxed in and can launch missiles from other areas and locations across the middle east.

This Shahab-3 missile was fired successfully and travelled 600 miles across Iran and this would reach all US based bases in the gulf region. Shahab-3 MRBM variant is the alleged missile fired and tested here can travel 1200 miles and this would pose a risk to UK bases in Cyprus.

Nothing like a little sabre rattling nk korea fired similar missles very recently too .
And Russia came very close to having several aircraft shot down on what looked like a dummy bombing mission in South Korea territory ,
South Korean aircraft scrambled and eventually fired off flares and then live warning shots to deter the Russians.

Get the feeling trump might start with the rocket Man jibes again

North Korea tested short range ballistic missiles and while considered a threat, there not ICBMs. There only designed to penetrate defences in South Korea. Similar like tests were carried out in May 2019.

Russia and China were involved. They were conducting a military exercise or incursion together. Russian planes went further in and entered Korean airspace and 300 warning shots were fired by South Korean airforce. This is bad news for America, if Russia and China are working together to undermine US military dominance in the region.

    As you very know -

Or you may not actually know -

China and russia have always worked together in North Korea it was China and Russia who pushed the the then north Koreans to invade south Korea in the 50s ,
The funny part was russia crying to the UN denouncing the invasion of South Korea while it's forces attacked and killed UN forces .

Iran can have all the missiles in the world stock piled and buried under mountains that still means feck all when they can be hammered 24 /7 from land ,air and sea from multiple sources and states .
Secret underground James bond bases and tunnels are only good for mass graves and saving on burial costs

A few pages ago he claimed Iran hadn't the capability to launch long range attacks....until I reminded him they hit ISIS targets accurately inside Syria launched from Iran and flew across Iraq, hundreds of kilometres just recentky, the chap is a pure waffler who seems to jizz in his pants bigging up the US military might and trying to downplay others,I've told yas before....too many Rambo/Vietnam films as a kid

That was interesting, showed how Stuxnet has backfired big time on America.

And while America is like a devoted puppy to Israel, Israel on the other hand does not give a toss about it's puppy's interests.

Very clever stuff for the most part ,

Specifically targeting only certain computers that were used for command structures in irans nuclear infrastructure ,
They did the same previously when they realised russians were stealing industrial secrets the Americans purposely designed a faulty oil pump that the Russians used in pipeline that was designed to fail and especially wreck the Russians pipeline .
    While actually happened .

Shows that America and other state's know well how to fight in a non traditional war and battlefield

Amuurka, hell yeah... They do know a lot about non traditional wars, masters of using their terrorist proxies in the Muslim world. False flag attacks and staged colour revolutions. Don't mind who they support either , fascists in Ukraine, mass murdering commies in south east Asia, fanatical head hackers in the middle east and beyond, just a few examples, the cost in human lives doesn't matter one single iota to them, they couldn't care less about that.

Trump is playing an absolute blinder with Iran.

Iranians are expert at these sorts of tactical games and have easily given the wishy-washy Europeans and that hopeless Obama the run around.

In comes Trump. Used to playing hardball, knows how to leverage, negotiates with contractors and real estate all the time.

Suddenly the Iranians aren't looking as smart as before. They're confused and lashing out.

Iranians are good folks for the most part (40 years of state propaganda takes its toll and there are some real nutcases) and they deserve to rid themselves of this regime.

Sadly many of the left wing anti-west sorts seem to want to prop up one of the worst regimes in the world. Literally hanging gays from cranes in public with school children walking by. Absolute ****.

Let me guess your still upset about the fall of the Berlin wall and East European countries getting their rightful independence from Soviet jack boots ,

Seems you also have an issue with Ukrainians defending themselves against the Russian invasion , occupation and annexation of part of their country.

You seem to have severe issues with the chronology of events. The CIA steered bandarist coup came before Russia annexed Crimea and supported the donbass, both regions have a clear Russian majority and have no desire whatsoever to be a part of Ukraine.

Waffle waffle waffle. No desire to be part of Ukraine? They were a part of Ukraine. What gave Russia any right to enter the territory of a sovereign nation.

And you probably think the outcome of the referendum that followed were as a result of a free and impartial process too right?!?

    The mind boggles.

We should defend our way of life to an extent that any attempt on it is crushed, so that any adversary will never make such an attempt in the future.

    Eh .... read some history.
Crimea was Russian for hundreds of years until 1954 when Khrushchev decided that Crimea will now be part of Ukraine without consulting a single solitary citizen of Crimea. But if you think Khrushchev's decision was 'democratic' and a free and impartial process I won't argue with you.

Yes the CIA, it long history of setting up front groups, supporting local extremists and staging false flag attacks in targeted countries to instigate "regime change" so a pre selected puppet government can be installed. Exactly what they did in Ukraine.

  • Registered Users Posts: 40,291 ✭✭✭✭Gatling

. Exactly what they did in Ukraine.

You have absolutely zero clue about Ukraine or what's happening in Ukraine,

Did you moan this much when the Berlin wall fell ??

When you can't argue or demonstrate that a statement is false given the weight of proof that contradicts your simplistic sloganeering you resort to ad hominem. Standard fare from you Gatling when you haven't got a leg to stand on in a debate, which is most of the time.

    When you you can't

Discuss anything unless you cry the CIA ,CIA,CIA

There is nothing to discuss Ukraine any further remember the multiple threads that you did the same thing over and over along with the same useful idiots with turn up in the same threads over and over coping each others posts trying to derail and get threads shut down ,
This is why the same posters have been removed for the political and ah threads

Calm down a bit there with the paranoid conspiracy theories, you're getting hysterical. It must be sore for you that you can't find a thread that is an echo chamber to your liking.

Quick question...... how far Back in time do we have to go before it’s decided who is the rightful territorial owner? Khrushchev was the leader at The time, he signed off on the transfer. It was Greek before the Russians got there, does that mean The Greeks should be allowed take it back?
Going by your measure what gave the US the right to enter Syria set up a base there, and then shoot at that countries army ?

No body. I didn’t mention the US. But congratulations on reaffirming your idiocy by blaming the US on Something in Every single fcukin post you type.

I'm just getting the measure of the type of poster we have here that cheer on the US,seems they turn a blind eye when its them that's breaking international law..might makes right I suppose in their idiotic world view
