Wouldn't go as far as legend but do enjoy his shows or contributions.

    Bobby is grand.

I do like his shows but find he's pretty poor when he's covering on someone else's show.

I think he is ok but for me he is a presenter for weekly not daily show.

You certainly are not alone, Bobby thinks he's a legend too, there are at least two of you though maybe not many more.

This is just yet another dig at the supposed egos of radio presenters.

I said above I'm ok with Bobby in the relatively small amounts which I currently hear him but to imply he is his own biggest fan is just false.

He always appears eager to learn from guests on his Saturday show and never tries to say he knows more than they do.

It was a little joke, Bobby is not a bad presenter and I dont think he thinks he is Gods gift.

Bobby is a bit of a bore, and his voice grates. However, he made me laugh heartily a few months back when he interviewed Kerry Katona. He literally got every bit of information about her wrong, and she must have corrected him about 5 or 6 times. Very awkward but very funny.

I think you may have your wires crossed with the most recent weekend shakeup? Don't ask me who moved where, all l do know is that Sinead Ryan has a new consumer show.

re Bobby. His programme is the only one on Newstalk (since Dil got the chop) that I actively avoid. I'd rather take up knitting then listen to an hour/two hours of business discussion.

    each to their own -
would imagine Ciara is prone to bragging about her kids - humbleness is not one of her traits.

I'd imagine if you've listened enough to determine she's not humble (in your view), you'd also know she doesn't brag about her kids.

She mentions them in context but she doesn't blow their trumpet I don't think.

she doesnt brag about her kids on radio and she appears humble - but the humbleness on radio is just a front - it doesnt take much to figure out she loves herself

    I hope she does.

Nothing wrong with loving yourself, what's the alternative -- being ambivalent about yourself? Hating yourself? Sure you'd get nowhere.

    Really? How do you figure?

Bear in mind, a healthy level of self-confidence is something everyone should aspire to. Don't you think?

theres nothing healthy about her state of mind - narcissistic would be more like it - some people are easily fooled by false modesty

This says more about your own SoM than Ciara's to be honest I think goochy.

Most people appear modest, because they are modest to consistently see that as false isn't good for anyone.

I always find it funny when someone says a radio presenter probably loves themself.

I mean, they have to have confidence in themselves to the point that they go on air for 10s to possibly 100s of thousands of people every day.

Narcissism with most radio presenters - its different to confidence

Hmm that call throws the unscripted nonsense out the window once and for all doesn't it?

Truly terrible radio hounding the man off air because it's a topic she wasnt prepared for.

Live and Unscripted and she keeps on asking what people think about the Spice Girls.

    What happened?

Dr Kelly said that the next caller was Dermot to talk about the local elections and when the caller came on he said his name was Rob and he wanted to talk about sexual abuse in some institution, I can't remember the name unfortunatley.

Dr Kelly said that she wasn't prepared for this call she was supposed to talk about the local election and basically hung up on the guy.

She proceeded to move on to a harder hitting issue, the Spice Girls concert tonight.

She asked "What's your weirdest job?" then had this mortician on to shamelessly promote her own facility. Oh but it's all so cray-zeeeee! I think this crap actually makes me hate Fridays!

    But not really.

I think it was clear there could be legal implications if she continued.
