I'm OG, never had any worries with it.

Is it worth the €40 price tag?
100%. When you play it and see the amount of work put into it you'll see that it's worth the money ( providing you like tetris of course ). I personally can't see the argument that it should be cheaper than what it is.

Playing firewall a bit and it's great but what's up with nobody talking to each other, everyone has a mic it ruins the game when u don't communicate

Yeah it's so annoying especially when you can hear background noise

People are used to the go it alone bollox of Call of Duty where you don't need to chat to win. Long gone are the days of Rainbow Six tactical gaming.

Firewall is a strange one in regards to comms - you can play for 2 hours some days with nothing but mutes, others you get landed in a lobby full of mics. Friday night is generally a good time for them (probably something to do with people having a few cans and being more relaxed about talking) :D

Is In Death worth playing with moves? Is there a recommended setup if so?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,491 ✭✭✭✭mrcheez

You haven't been playing with Moves???

The coolest thing about the game is the superb feeling fromshooting off a bow n arrow with two hands!

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 5,585 ✭✭✭Jerichoholic

I tried it once but the movement was really ****ty.

This, I've only tried the Move as I didn't think you could use the controller, and I found it ultra awkward to use the bow. It was like it wanted my draw hand to go through my body for a straight shot. Didn't make sense, and don't like the 90° turning either.

Yeah using the moves sucks balls. You can't quickly dodge incoming arrows at all.

    Terrible actually.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,491 ✭✭✭✭mrcheez

That sucks. Would have thought you guys have access to th teleport shards to quickly sidestep as I have on my Rift version.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 5,585 ✭✭✭Jerichoholic

You can use that but you have to throw it, and throwing on PSVR is always dodgy, Superhot throwing sucks for example. On the controller the d-pad lets you dash in that direction immediately.

The best part is the guy keeps playing

I got Beat Sabre. It's fantastic, however the music is absolutely dreadful. If there was music I liked in the game it would be quickly on my all time greatest list.

I think they are coming out with more tracks with possibly more variety.

The PC version has user-created tracks via mods, but unfortunately that won't be coming to consoles.

I would have played it a lot more if the music wasn't absolute dirt.

Yes they have plans for 2 or 3 DLC packs (for $$$) and some more free tracks too. I think the success of Beat Saber on PSVR took them by surprise and now they are taking their time to get things right (I think the entire studio is 5 people still).

Hopefully with the popularity of the game, licensing tracks will be easier (much like Guitar Hero). There's still some decent tracks in the game anyway, imo.

I loved some of the tunes. Escape with Me was stuck in my head for weeks.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,770 ✭✭✭✭Potential-Monke

To me, the music suits it. I can't imagine playing Beat Saber to Mr. Brighside for example, this kind of game needs dance/house music. I enjoyed most of the music on it tbh.

Lol. There’s absolutely no pleasing this fella!

I loved some of the tunes. Not the music I would listen to but the music suited it that is for sure.

The track 'Beat Saber' is fantastic to play in it. It's the one I keep going back to, along with 'Escape', 'Breezer' and 'Balearic Pumping' as the best songs to dance to while playing, which makes it easier to play! After that, 'Commercial Pumping' is fun, and 'LVL Insane' is just that, especially on expert. Again, can't imagine having as much fun playing this to chart music/bands, as I still think you need that dance/house sound to match the gameplay.

Electronauts is another game (experience?) that's superb if you are into house / dub / synthwave / etc.

Imagine having to play some shoegazing ****e like Mumford and Sons....you'd probably try and stab yourself in the ears with the virtual swords just to make it stop :D

+1 on this, it really is an amazing game once you get to grips with it. Perfect for a weekend evening with a couple of cans, just throw on a tune and get completely lost in your own rework of it.

I like Angel Voices, and I don't mind some of the tunes ( i would never listen to them outside of the game ), although there are 1 or 2 that I would never play coz the song wrecks my head so much.

BTW, I'm really into techno and electronic music in gernal, just not the brand of it they have in the game.

The only one I'm not keen on is their diddly-eye take on Lord of the Dance

That's exactly what I think when saying bands. Any of that crap just wouldn't suit this game. I'm into trance/dance/hard style/melbourne bounce/etc, so the songs are quite good imo, but I can see it grating if you don't like those or similar styles.

I loved Amplitude back in the day, but the re-release I got on PS4 has very different tracks, and tbh, the vast majority are just noise. Really let down by that, but Beat Saber got it just right imo. Hope the DLC is more like it, I'll be staying away if they put in chart/band stuff.

NIN would probably work well though, and appease most fans looking for some of the rockin n rollin

A bit of Alestorm and Gloryhammer would be awesome! Wonder if they have a page to make suggestions...
