It's good to have someone to compare against! If doing Expert +, Elixia seems to be the most manageable with No Fail, and I do think it will be the easiest to do. And you're only barely above me in some other songs, so I'm gonna have a go at them again tonight!

Gor VR for Christmas and only played it occasionally. I've tried to get into Skyrim a couple of times but have to stop after a few minutes with the nausea.

Are there any good VR games I can cut my teeth in?

What sort of games are you into?

Shooters or puzzlers or just general "holy crap I'm in VR" sort of stuff?

Astrobot, just a really fun platformer. I played the entire game with a smile on my face.

Yeah +1 for Astrobot. Pretty much no nausea possible

    Obviously Beat Saber too

    Tetris Effect
    Ultrawings
    Thumper
    Wipeout

Still playing through Xing (just finished the 1st area) but I'm having some odd trouble with it after about 45/50 mins of playing - motion sickness? I'm no stranger at this point to full loco titles or moving in games, but I start to feel pretty nauseous after a while of playing Xing. The only other VR title that had this effect was Eve Valkyrie demo but I put that down to the barrel rolling (can't stomach any sort of flying game in VR). Any idea what the hell might be causing it, given the game is really slow paced with nothing too hectic? I can play the likes of Firewall for hours on end without any issue.

Try playing with a fan blowing on you, aids immersion and pretty much eliminates motion sickness.

Don't bother. I personally think it's worth at least that cost. It's my most played game this year, and I have it since launch. If they continue to release free stuff (2 or 3 songs for free recently), or even if they do paid DLC, i will give them all my monies!

Had to stop trying the expert + levels again last night, my arms gave up on being able to hit the high notes, just couldn't lift them any longer. Better than any gym session for the arms I've ever had!

Awesome! You will love it! Add me, the more people on my friends list with higher scores, the more I'm gonna play this! PotentialMonkey

Edit: My obsession continues, i'm now listening to the soundtrack at work... Think it might give me an edge! :pac: But, since trying to do an E+ level, i've found that the E levels are a good bit easier now! Just a case of training my eyes and arms to move that quick!

Just pipped a couple of your scores there Monke :D

It seems to take a while for the score to update on the leaderboard

    Edit, add away too Graham_b18c

Beat Saber is the most fun I've had in gaming in a long time (and it's not my usual music taste). Haven't been able to play for a few weeks now due to (unrelated!) arm injury, hoping to get back to it soon. Feel free to add me for scoreboard. PSN: jimburnley

Picked up Crisis VRigade tonight - pro tip, play with the aim instead of moves if you have it. It’s tough as nails, 2 or maybe 3 shots and you are dead. I’ve only managed to get about 4 rooms in to the bank without getting killed, and my calf muscles are killing me from the crouching (it tracks your body movements so some parts involve nearly being all 4’s blindfiring over desks :D)

Superhot is great for this if you haven't played it yet. I remember crouching behind the desk in the final stage and shooting at enemies through the table legs. So cool.

Incidentally, John Wick was on last night and reminded me exactly how I felt in Superhot.

So I'm going to have to take a bit of a break from Beat Saber. Arms are in tatters today after trying for an hour on a few E+ songs. Can barely lift them today! And it's going to take me a bit longer to be able to play one from start to finish without No Fail. Such an amazing game. The t-shirt is still drying!

I only got up to level 8 last night.

I have no idea how I'm going to handle expert. I'm struggling to get the required combos on those bloody levels where the direction disappears.

Ah yes, I got as far as Level 19 in the career. Gave up because of an easy challenge which I keep messing up (min 28 combo, max 32). I wouldn't have had a hope on the Expert levels unless I stopped with the career and went with Free Play. That's the only way, imo, to get up to Expert level. Even then, it took me until I was able to finish nearly all songs on hard before I could really get into them, and it wasn't until I started attempting the Expert + that I started to get better at the Expert. Pretty sure I can finish all Expert levels without No Fail on. Can only do 3 or 4 of them with Instafail, and even then it's rare.

Even playing the E+ levels with the 'Slow song' option makes the standard Expert levels seem easy in comparison. Also, keep in mind that I've been playing, on average, about 40 minutes a day since launch. And this is definitely one of those games you need to keep practicing, learning patterns, etc.

As an additional note, 'Disappearing Arrows' is not something I reckon I will ever use in Free Play. Just no. Hard enough to cut in the direction it's showing when you can see it!

I finished the career in Beat Saber but I have to say I didn't enjoy it at all. Purposefully making you miss notes is just not fun ( for me ).

Can anyone tell me how to finish the levels where you can only move your arms a certain distance? How the hell do you stay inside it?
