Peter Casey has enabled people to say what they think, looking forward to the Late Late.

Hilarious statement and signs of the delusion of a great new age of 'truth' going on here. You have been trying to shut down people who have 'been saying what they think' of Casey and his support all week.

As suspected, you guys are only in favour of hearing what 'you think' and not a syllable else.

What is very apparent is the media attack on Peter Casey calling him ‘populist’ and ‘single issue’ and taking a pop at ‘the disadvantaged’.

The lad was telling the truth, surely.

Contrast that with the treatment given to the ‘real populists’ the Alphabet Soup crowd!!

Want an increase in pay in Dublin Bus/Luas/ Bus Eireann - sure give it to them

Where are you having the picket- we’ll join you

Where is the demo supporting breaking the law- we’ll join you

We want to occupy empty houses- sure we’ll support you.

Want an increase in welfare/ state pension- why not, hand it out.

You see there’s a subtle difference in the point of attack from these people, they target the taxpayer, the people who pay for everything,Middle Ireland, people who pay their way and contribute by their diligence and effort.

Fair game it would appear to be from the media reaction.

However when a coterie of folk who contribute very little to society, pay very little into the community chest, occupy a disproportionate number of prison places, are called out ,there is media odium for the person who states those facts.

Has this poster puzzled, so it has.

If ever a post summed up all that is wrong with our political system, particularly the hard left, this is it. The middle classes are victimized, and no one will say a thing. I only wish more called it out for what it is.

I see this dead horse is still being flogged.

What the majority of people in this country have realised over the past week, is that the people who voted for casey are all idiots and racists. Broad sweeping generalisations against a minority of people (e.g. peter casey voters) are now permitted. PC madness is out the window, to hell with their feelings, anything goes.

What will this giant of enunciation say next? The 70 year old farmers who contribute nothing to society are waiting with bated breath.

Such rich culture. In front of a Garda Station no less, absolute animals. The children have no fcuking chance when they're screamed at to record this sh*t.

Jesus Christ watched it in full. Seems like the really young kids are scared to bits while the older kid is in awe of his Dad. ''My father never gave in to nobody.'' Fcuking grim.

It's worth noting that Peter Casey was very smart to keep his comments until after he got council nominations. The Irish media/establishment were concentrating on Kevin Sharkey and Gemma O'Doherty. They thought they screened everyone, this is what angered them even more. Casey slipped through the net. I bet if he ran again they would go all out to remove him from the process.

Michael D would piss his pants if he ever had to deal with travellers.

Really? He lives 200 metres from a halting site. And has for the past thirty years. Pops in for tea and chats and has greatly helped the local Travellers when problems have arisen. Research before posting.

It's likely that councils will be more circumspect in seven years when interviewing candidates. Less nincompoops getting through.

The Phoenix Park has a halting site?

It's so sad to watch that

What chance do they have when they think that's the true reality

The circle will never be broken

I would rather have seen Sharkey and Gemma on there than the likes of Gallagher and Duffy. Would have been great entertainment.

Sure he does. With his bodyguards no doubt.

Put him in the middle of a tinkers row and let me know how he gets on.

Has only had bodyguards for the past seven years. Never when lecturer, TD, Minister or Mayor of Galway. Never had any bother there and never will have. A simple case of mutual respect.

Unless you're more informed than me and he's been president for thirty years then refer back to my post.

He hasn’t been living beside this halting site the last 7 years.

Absolutely agree. No kid needs to see that. But you realise it's a Traveller fighting a non-Traveller who allegedly called the kids names. Not good on either side.

Still his family home and he's there every few weeks. There this weekend in fact for events in Galway if you want to check on him.

What do you mean by problems have arisen.
Do you mean problems created by travellers.

Classic Pavee Point response to disgraceful behaviour.
Hope if Casey ever gets his hands on power the first thing he does is disband this organisation.
If travellers need free advice they can go to the Citizens Advice Bureaus like the rest of us.

Nope. He'd intervene to represent his constituents should any help be required. As per his obligation to any constituent:

Casey is going nowhere near power. No hope of ever winning the presidency though I concede he could win a TD seat in Donegal if he started paying tax in this country. But in the Dail he'd be stuck in the blockhead corner with the likes of the Healy-Raes.

I was hoping Sharkey would be running
it would be some craic to see the left calling him a racist, and believe me they would
    it's the answer to everything

very true, Casey (and I think he would not be a good president) called it as any reasonable person views them. The offer nothing positive to society and that is the harsh reality, it;s all negative **** with them

The state of any place they lay their head on is terrible. The headford road halting site is a mess and they live like pigs in it.

I wouldnt be as sure as you.
Homer Simpson was the first to mention DT as a possible US President and everyone scoffed like you at the idea.

There is every likelihood Casey could get to form a party. There is a huge rural vote out there for him. If he got twenty per cent of the vote in a General Election it would put him in a strong position. The people have spoken and if action isnt taken Caseys popularity will increase.

The more he speaks the more he'll show himself up. He'll go on a charm offensive on the LLS tonight but his level of intelligence and political savvy just won't cut it long-term.

With a new party in a general election he'd have to face Fianna Fail & Fine Gael who didn't put up candidates in the presidential election. They'd outmanoeuvre him and even if he had one half-decent election he'd be finished in the next.

Ireland has voted in successive general and presidential elections and referenda for the centre or left choice. The younger more liberal populace will ensure that trend continues. We're not as ill-informed and ill-educated as the Americans.
