Cheers Pat. Which part of Galway he from? Does your good intentions extend to sending up a sheaf of tickets for Sunday? :)
Carnaun, just outside of Athenry. If I could, I most certainly would!!

Hearing a few tickets might surface tomorrow. Anyone hear anything??

Heard the club's got screwed. Our club got 30 less than last year. That's a big chunk to take away. Some football clubs got almost the same allocation as hurling clubs.

Senior football clubs got about 35 each.

So many companies raffling tickets on social media. Would prefer to see these tickets with clubs.

This thread will probably reach the 10,000 post limit in the middle of the finals!

It may vary from club to club but the two Senior football clubs I heard numbers from got over 30 tickets.

Kerry man here lads, wishing ye the very best of luck for Sunday. Father is a Galway man, so when it comes to the hurling, Galway is always who I follow. Gaillimh Abú!

Plenty of good hurlers came from the North of Kerry.

    Ballyduff and Kilmoyley

Don't think there will be a massive Galway crowd there compared to last year and can see Limerick outnumbering us bigtime on sunday.

We've won 5 Hurling All Ireland's in our entire history, you can bet the house we'll travel and there'll be a tonne of us in there.

Heard a leading healthcare multinational in Galway had a draw (not raffle afik) for 15+ tickets yesterday ? Doesnt really sit well with the grass root members of clubs across the county I would have thought.

Word has it Harte going corner back . Cooney wing back with Mc back in no6 . Canning Niall Burke Mannion whelan Glynn Conor Cooney up front . Hansberry drops to bench . Just what I’m told ... could be way off

They could have a corporate box in Croke park.

These companies pay money for seats annually and get tickets direct from croke park so it's not coming out of the Galway allocation so I don't see the issue

That company employs thousands and has won the interfirms in both codes a heap of times. Good to see a US multinational taking interest in local sport tbh

It’s always the way that people who only start looking for tickets for the final start cribbing when the see or read about those company tickets without knowing the full facts.

There were fans all the way from supermacs o connell st up along the way and very few of them got sorted from what I heard from someone who stayed and watched match in pub up there. Big Limerick crowd will probably come up with same plans.
With the great championship we have had I think a lot of neutrals who may not have gone in other years will take up their tickets this year so may not be as many coming back from non traditional counties.

Season tickets are the way to go if you attend league and championship games...guaranteed final tickets if you get there...good seats everywhere except Limerick and Ennis.

Season ticket is fantastic.... But.... this is the first year I'm not overly impressed with the tickets I've gotten. I've had season tickets in both football and hurling since it's inception but the tickets I got for this year's final aren't the best. Still lucky to have one I guess.

Ya I remember that. Thankfully I got sorted on the eve of the final but think tickets were scarce on the day and plenty looking like you said.

I’m out of the country until Saturday night but if I was around I’d be going up the night before looking for tickets. Last year a couple I know got one for me as well as a pair for themselves.

I’ve a go bus booked for Sunday morning but going to weigh up if I’ll go up or not on the morning of the game. I know someone up there Saturday night and if they say tickets are scarce then I might leave it. Obviously the dream is to pick up a ticket but the nightmare scenario for me would be to go up and not get sorted and unfortunately that looks the more likely scenario. I’d much rather watch the game in Galway than in the likes of the Big Tree/Quinn’s. Having to watch the game on tv when it is taking place just around the corner would be such a sickener.

Galway fans have a tendency to get screwed in these scenarios. Not sure if its coincidence or because we wouldnt have the biggest reputation for complaining. Last year in our home ground Galway ST holders were put in the corner of the stand while Mayo fans got the halfway line seats. Any Croker tiks ive got this year have been in the single letter rows which is very low down and tough to see whats going on

David Connors Sports journalist for Tuam herald saying the same earlier today and would guess that likes of him be well clued in and wouldn't be taking it off any Joe soap down the pub. Will be a big blow to us as Hanbury would have been well able for Gillane and would have given him plenty of it physically.

Means we have one less option from the bench in forwards and be down to bare minimum if Mc Inerney was to pull up early in the game.

Joe Cooney will be a perfect match up for Hegarty though and hadn't been great in the forwards lately.

Don't be surprised to see Jason Flynn start.

This leaves us very light on the bench. It's our main weakness. We have 15 outstanding Hurlers with two really top class subs then the quality really falls away. Not many you'd be looking to dig you out of a hole if you needed them.

Hanbury and Mc Inerney both named to start so hopefully Hanbury makes it Sunday and that we don't have any late changes. Niall Burke drops out but will have a big part to play in it yet

I'd say one of them won't start. Mac should be 100% because it'll be a huge boost to the limerick crowd if he limps off early
