    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Uno_(card_game)

(It's a bit like saying, "Even though it's technically my turn to pay, I played the reverse card so now the bill's on you" - like giving the police who've just arrested you a "get out of jail free" Monopoly card, and they let you go).

Hardly a lifehack though, is it? Maybe one for the stingiest person thread.

No it's more like what used to happen to happen to prisoner escorts. If the prisoner escaped in transit then the guard would have to do their sentence.

One official in China who had nothing to loose after letting prisoners escape because back then it was a capital offence went on the run and became an outlaw.
Long story short, he ended up as Emperor.

  • Registered Users Posts: 18,625 ✭✭✭✭BaZmO*

Jaysis. You’d be better off just twisting them together and then cable tying it.

It would be great if every library did this. :)

Curious, don't libraries limit an author's earnings? I.e. you spend ages creating something and then only earn money 1 time when a library buys it? :)

Not exactly. Every year, libraries or their allibrary authority (fingal, DCC etc) pays a fee to their national copyright agency who distributes it to authors based on borrowing popularity.
