Sounds kind of like this. The main actor fits the description and though the beginning is set in modern times it later switches to B & W old gangster movie pastiche.

Some oscar worthy acting in the restaurant scene beginning from 9.42.

This is a long shot as I didn't actually see this film but I remember coming across it in a video rental store circa late 80's/early 90's. I was strongly tempted to rent it at the time but didn't and my curiosity has gotten the better of me. The video cover showed a very sexy woman in a mini skirt and black knee high boots standing in a doorway of a room and I think dangling a key in her hand. She had long straight black hair with a fringe and visually looked kind of like a more toned down version of Elvira, she might have been dressed all in black. The tagline was something like "she's here to save their marriage" or "she's their marriages last chance". From what I remember of the description the film was a kind of sexploitation thriller about a couple who whose marriage is on the rocks and this woman comes on the scene. Don't think it was a porno but I got the impression it was low budget and didn't have any name actors.

I watched a movie on American netflix two years ago and I just can't remember the name. It was kinda like a weird film festival movie about these 2 teenage girls who worked in a fast food restaurant stall thing. There was a chef the same age as the girls and he fancied one of the girls and one of the girls lost her virginity to this guy in a car the same night. And the fast food shop owner was this kinda crazy old lady. Anyone know this??

I'm currently watching Ken Burns' epic documentary The Vietnam War and this scene from a war film has popped into my head. I think it was a WW2 film, but can't remember when it was made. Pretty sure it was in colour.

Basically there is a regiment of soldiers walking somewhere, on a mission perhaps, and they come across a heavily mined field. One soldier nearly stands on one and ends up being rooted to the spot because if he moved his feet he would trigger the mine. Efforts are made to free him but the best solution they come up with is for him to jump away at a certain angle which would probably only cost him his leg. But I remember he just gives up and triggers the mine and dies.

I know for sure that it's not this film below, which is the same premise only they dragged it out for the entire film! I definitely watched the other film many years ago. Thanks.

Kelly's Heroes has a scene like that.

Good shout but I don't think that's it. I looked it up and there is a scene of a soldier hitting a landmine but the scene I'm thinking of is more drawn out, and wouldn't fit into a comedy film. I'm open to correction though!

I don't see the clip online, but it is a tense scene, long enough and not played for laughs.

Probably it so. I can't find the scene online either, but it's a good excuse to sit down and watch the film again soon. Thanks.

Years since I've seen it but there's a scene like that in the Big Red One, I think.

Looked it up and there's a scene where a soldier has one of his testicles blown off but that's not it. Again, good shout!

Only last week I was thinking about the exact same scene and the only film I can think of with such a scene is Behind Enemy Lines.

Would it be the Boys from Company C? Have a very vague memory of landmine scene in that but I could be wrong?

A movie that used to be on the telly quite regularly when I was younger, I am 26 now and can remember seeing it a few times when I was about 10 or 11.

It is an old movie and may or may not involve some sort of submarine, the scene I can remember the best is a scene where people when weird old fashioned style helmets are standing on rocks beside the ocean and are engaging in a firefight with people on either a boat or a submarine.
The guns may have been some sort of laser guns but I am not too sure of that.

There may have been some sort of monsters involved but I cant remember exactly if there was.

This would be from the 60's or even beforehand, it would be quite an old film.
    It was in color though.

    Hi, I'm Doug McClure!

You may remember me from such cheesy movies as The People That Time Forgot, and At the Earth's Core.

An African American movie with high schoolers and a scene had some bad guys chase them through a wax museum. I think they also went through a vent.
