He was a fine player indeed and was the first player to catch an NFL TD pass from one Tom Brady. RIP Terry.

Revis is signing with the chiefs

Stinks of desperation. Revis Island has washed up.

The 25 semi finalists for the 2018 HOF was announced last night. I think Randy moss and TO are slam dunks, and I don't think ray Lewis gets in first time out because of Marvin Harrison and TO seemingly were overlooked for off the field issues when they aren't meant to.

And TO wasn't the best teammate but he was a superb football player. Ray lewis isn't as pure as he wants us to believe.

Didn't he more or less say he didn't have the pace for it anymore LAST year? Did he get younger since?

Whatever about not having the pace he had just completely thrown in the towel towards the end of the season, clearly didn't give a sh1t.

Ray Lewis is a guaranteed first ballot.

Lewis is in first time no questions, I'd like Dawkins to get in, Owens has to go in, I could see moss getting the same treatment as Owens and not be selected

In hindsight, I kind of wish Gamepass were back to their incompetent selves and hadn’t managed to upload the Redskins/Giants Game in 40 before I left this morning. That was an awful game and I feel sorry for anyone who watched the full game

It was tough going alright. Giants defence is tough though and the Redskins putting up 20 on them I was happy enough.

A win was what was needed and that was what was delivered. Given the schedule the Skins give themselves a playoff shot , all in their own hands, they could run the table with 5 very winnable games. @Cowboys, Chargers, Giants and then home to Cardinals and Broncos

Only the chargers game looks daunting. But this is the Redskins.

Very winnable but they'd need some guys back for the chargers I think, I've had money in teams facing them a few times in recent weeks (and on then last night) and they've turned a serious corner since the first 5-6 games.

the Chargers game is going to be the key one probably and your right the OLine needs to get healthy for that one. Cousins could be sacked 5 or 6 times in that one

    In each half...!!!!

Boss and Ingram are a phenomenal duo.

Possibility no doubt about it. Bosa has been sensational this year and they have about 30 sacks between them already!

Are you sure its all in their own hands?
I mean for the wildcard contenders, you have either the Seahawks or Rams who both should be above .500. There are three strong teams in the NFC South, all of whom would have a good shout at a wildcard. The rest of Detroit's schedule is made up of teams with a losing record.
I would imagine at least two of the teams mentioned there would probably have a better chance of a wildcard than the Redskins, even if they won out.

I didnt mean literally in their own hands mathematically. But if they win out, which they have to do I think they give themselves a great chance and more than likely will be there or there abouts. My calculations of same goes as follows:

Panthers have away games at the Saints and Falcons and a home game with the vikings. Can see them losing all three of those. So at 10-6 , the Redskins would have them on the conference record providing they get to 10-6 as well.

Seahawks have been terrible of late, have Philly, Jags, Rams, I see them losing at least 2, again if Washington get to 10-6 they have the Seahawks on the head to head.

Lions I think have as good a chance as Washington to make it but I don't fancy them running their schedule either, I actually think they might have two losses in them away to Baltimore and home to the Packers. But if they end up on 10-6 it depends who they lose to, a loss to the packers or chicago or Tampa would leave Washington with a tie breaker on head to head performances, with best point spread in common games.

Alot of complicated scenarios really and with so many games left anything could happen. What I meant with it all in their own hands though is if they run the table they are highly likely to make the playoffs.

Fair enough, but if the Lions lose two remaining games from that schedule, they don't deserve a playoff place.

Worth noting that the Panthers, Lions and Vikings all have to play GB beyond week 15. GB have a loss to the Steelers on Sunday night followed by two games against the Bucs and Browns. Anyone who has watched GB since Rodgers went down at all knows how pathetic they have been (amazing difference compared to NE without Brady last year), and I fully expect us to be the underdogs against the even Cleveland f***ing Browns. We are the worst team in the entire league.

However -- if GB can get wins against Cleveland and Tampa Bay (two complete messes this year too) they will be at 7-6 coming into week 15 with a solid chance of the playoffs. That's when Rodgers is eligible to return, and he has been taking snaps in practice for the last week or so. It's looking increasingly like up to the entire coaching staffs jobs may depend on it (which is partly why I don't mind us missing the playoffs, exact same as I said last year) so if GB are 7-6 you can fully expect Rodgers in those three games.

GB put in a heck of a performance last night.

Rumours flying around the Denver media that Vance Joseph is on the verge of being sacked by Elway as HC of the Broncos.

So everyone except the guy who made the decision to re-sign Brock Osweiller is either out or on their way out?

Elway is probably going to clean house - hopefully starting with Matt Russell. He messed up big-time by hiring VJ and has damaged the Broncos by doing so.

As for Osweiler - the Broncos needed a back-up and he was the cheapest available (thanks to Cleveland and Houston)

Who drafted Lynch? He is awful, who keeps bringing in these awful QB's? That person needs to be fired.

Second best QB in Denver, best was Peyton obviously, over the last seven years is Tim Tebow and he isn't even in the league anymore!

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 23,495 ✭✭✭✭Billy86

I'd take siemian over tebow personally, very average but kind of understands his limitations, had a bit of a footballing brain on him and I reckon he's got a 10 year career as a fairly high end back up or even stopgap starter ahead of him. Then again I had a really, really poor opinion of Tebow.

Doesn't mean the qb situation in Denver has been anything short of brutal, though.

And thanks to Osweiler for shooting down the ridiculous offer by Elway (who tried to tie him to Denver).
