Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Straight swap from Fabregas to Willian.

As poor as Chelsea were, it was just a freak 20 minutes where they conceded the goals after going down to 10 men.

Still scored 2, so I want a piece of that pie going forward.

Thinking Kane to Aguero for 1 week but also need to get rid of Iwobi as well

I liked Palace's fixtures prior to the Huddersfield game but if there is news of Zaha's injury and he's out, may switch to Ramsey before he goes up in price. Be good to have Arsenal coverage too

What's the story with West Broms cbs when McCauley is fit?? I have Dawson but is he a certain starter when everyone is fit??

Is Zaha injured? He's not flagged.

Taking a punt already - Cesc out, Wijnaldum in.

Nothing concrete as of yet but he posted a pic on Instagram yesterday with his knee in a brace that was deleted shortly after.

    https://www.reddit.com/r/crystalpalace/comments/6tf8or/zaha_in_a_leg_brace/

As I said, nothing has been released publicly yet. He got a bit of a kicking but played the 90 mins so could have just been precautionary for the brace, not sure why the posts, etc

I'd say if hegazi keeps playing well he will keep his spot
McCauley is about 50 at this stage :D

Repeating myself here :pac: but isn't it likely Ramsey will be benched?

Don't think so, only reason he didn't start was because he had a slight injury and as Wenger said in his post match interview in the past he has started him in that situation and it has led to a more serious injury.

Going forward, pardon the pun, Ramsey and Xhaka will absolutely be nailed on as Arsenal's first choice midfield partnership - Xhaka got two assists on Friday night one of which was an incredible pass - but his general play was poor I thought and of course he is a yellow card machine.

The good news is that I am emerging from GW1 with all 15 of my team having started.

Fabregas to Willian is my transfer for the week.

But I see a lot of people are hitting the panic button and Kane, Zaha and Jesus at risk of dropping in price. But no panic here!

Jesus the only one of those three I have and haven't even considered off loading and am unsure why anyone would do.

Wilfried Zaha was wearing a hinged knee support after Saturday's game as a 'precautionary measure' according to the Croydon Advertiser #CPFC

Would love that cleared up asap so I can see whether I have a free transfer to use this week or not!

I have Kun, Lukaku and Jesus and I'm quite tempted by a Jesus to Vardy transfer. It would mean that I have 8.5m to upgrade Walters (or 7.5 to upgrage one of my 4.5's).

But I promised myself to give them a few GW's. Another GW or two and that midfielder might jump out a little more. I've a 0.5m cushion that should allow that.

Opinions on keeping Rooney for another week? I need to ship out iwobi as he's a non starter, Atsu replaces him though as first sub and he seemed to be newcastles best chance of goals/assists yesterday?

    So Rooney to a chicarito

Or Rooney to iheanacho (didn't start)

Or iwobi to someone else and go 5 man mid with lukaku up front?

    Argh.

I'd probably dump Lukaku whatever you do anyway.

    I am at a loss.

EDIT: I'll elaborate. Why get rid of a played who has scored 13 points in GW1 and who has unbelievable fixtures ahead?

Obvious he's in for the season barring injury

On the Vardy bandwagon transferred him in this morning, think he will have a decent season this year nothing like when they won the league but still for his price it was too hard not too since Ranieri left his form has improved big time. Keeping my fingers crossed Zaha is fit for Liverpool.

Palace have an open training session this week
Would assume it will be early in week
    So we will know soon

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 158 ✭✭ironmonkey

With the Cahill suspension coming obvious vulnerability at the back I've dumped Courtois for deGea surprising there's not more talk of this move given his ownership.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 697 ✭✭✭uRbaN

    Fabregas - Willian
    Iwobi - Mooy

I don't like taking points hits or knee jerks, but felt I had to have two definite starters.

Would have preferred Fabby - Ramsey and then do something next week with Iwobi but the price drop coming for Iwobi would limit options.

Debating whether taking 2 fts into gw3 would be more useful than using a transfer now just to save 0.1. Especially when I should have no bother fielding 11 for next week. One of my resolutions for this season was to bank where possible and then do 3 transfers for a -4 if I want.

After a much better week than I thought Im looking at a -8 after Pool's qualifier and Man City's friendly tomorrow night

    Out: KDB-Kane-Gabbi

    In: Alli-Firmino-Aguero

could have got a front 3 of Aguero-Kane-Lukaku with -4 by completing destroying my MF but resisted.

Presume Girono-City game wont feature a strong team but I'm waiting on Firmino to play anyway.

Cahill to Davis before potential falls and rises.

Hoping to carry over transfer but few concerns.

    - No Lukaka is a concern. Always wanted to give Kane and Aguero 3 weeks and see then.
    - Walters didn't start the last day and hard to see him starting again after their result against Chelsea.
    - Jay Rodriguez had a few chances the last day but looks like Rondon may start this week and push him out wide.

KDB is the obvious enabler but will wait and see until later in week.

Is anyone looking at a straight swap of Brady in for Walters?

If Zaha is injured then I need to make a transfer of some sort but really want to bank if i can

  • Registered Users Posts: 113 ✭✭First Explorer

Fab to Xhaka was my free transfer this week, the money saved will be reinvested in my midfield next week for chelsea cover when we have a bit more info.

With Zaha's injury, looking like him >> Ramsey.

Liked the look of him pre season, can't see anyone else being a better replacement

    Knee-jerk?

I was impressed with KDB. He will definitely score heavy. As for Kane... looked sharp to me, argument to say more sharper than Aguero

Are people with Walter's gonna hold on for another week at least?

I think I'll give him this week and see. I know they got a great result at weekend but 442 served them very weĺl at home last year so I think it's 50-50 he starts so I'll give him another shot.

    Zaha out, Richie In.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 48,254 ✭✭✭✭km79

I just don't know now.......take a hit and limo along for a few week......or just bite the bullet and wildcard. I had actually decided to captain Kane though and he would go in a WC!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 48,254 ✭✭✭✭km79

    Zaha out, Richie In.

    Richie looked absolutely rubbish sunday
Not involved in general play at all

Don't know what to do now, have the itch to get rid of Gabbi though. Could do Zaha and Gabbi to Salah and Mounie but that would bring me to -8. Not sure if it's worth it.
