I really hope you've learned your lesson about betting on Zebre.. or any Italian team tbh... :P

I got Zebre +31 with Boyles so won by a whisker,it was in an accumulator.I had Ospreys to beat Edinburgh too.So far so good.

It's in an accumulator so I don't have any reason to brag just yet.:-) I've taken Glasgow ht/ft @4/9 too.

Ulster v Zebre: bet-second half highest scoring half@8/13 (Bet 365) Think PP has similar

On paper and form it has to be Ireland but home advantage, backs to the wall, Lions team places and passion....Come on Ireland! :D

At the odds l don't like that bet as Ulster seem to take the foot off the gas once the bonus point is won lately,I'd say that bet has won with Zebre away to most other teams tho.

Don't let me put you off tho would hate to put someone off a winning bet .

Obviously we are all looking forward to Wales v Ireland. It's a tough one to call.I think Wales +7/+8 is a good bet.

Right now England -2 looks ridiculous value, but I'm actually delighted the unemotional bookies have it so close.

England -2. Already been there. :D

Unemotional bookies balance their books by adjusting prices in response to emotional punters though. If England are -2 it means the money is falling pretty even on both sides. I'd expect it to move soon, tbh.

bookies have to start somewhere though, the money will move the odds..... but the odds are determined in the first instance by the bookies.

I can easily see the spread moving to at least -5 and possibly more after the team announcements.

    My tournament bets:

    Winner/top tryscorer
    England & Jonathan Joseph @ 16/1

    England & Virimi Vakatawa @ 22/1

    Ireland & Garry Ringrose @ 100/1

    Top tryscorer
    Tommy Seymour (Scotland) @ 22/1

    Liam Williams (Wales) @ 22/1

    Wooden spoon
Wales @ 25/1 (kind of depending on them to lose today...)

    Top tryscoring team
    Ireland @ 4/1

What do they say about a fool and his money?

Mm, three still alive going into the last day, not bad for a rugby ignoramus.:P
The last one was looking like a cert until this last weekend's 'freakish' combo of England running riot and Ireland drawing a blank...:(

Anyone know if I would still win the full whack for this even if Joseph ties with a few other guys on 3 tries (assuming none are English)?

I'd say its going to be 1/8th your stake at 16/1 ,,

Bookies will say they paid out on England to win with each of the 8 joint top try scorers .

Yes it was, had to be when you think about it. Bet365 would have to pay out on England win/non-England player top try scorer just as much as on Joseph. If anyone was on Gilroy say, they would probably have bankrupted them...

Still, kind of disappointing to 'win' two bets and only end up with 37-odd quid...

  • So PP ran the offer that if your team goes up by 10 points they pay out, on all 6N games this season. Looks like a good offer and probably generated some business for then but I don't think it resulted once in them paying out on both teams.

Am abroad for a few months and PP is geo locked here, was this just for singles or did also apply to multiples and handicaps?

I'd imagine people may have thrown a few quid at Italy for example as they could conceivably go ten points up against England especially in Rome before england would inevitably pull away.

Just the win draw win market, singles.

Given the Munster side I really like Munster -18 away to Zebre.

Got Munster, Leinster, Saracens and Clermont all to win their Quarter Finals at 1.96 around two weeks ago on Paddy Power.

The betting between Edinburgh and la rochelle had been a bit all over the place. Started with burgh +2, went to +5 after team announcements and back to +3 now.

Leinster started -4 and drifted to - 5 before returning.

Surprisingly munster have stayed steady on - 9 throughout the week when I though they would be lumped on.

My bets for the weekend are :

    Munster - 9 @10/11

    Acca
Leinster / munster / clermont / sarries win
    @ 3/2

    Saders / Saders - 9 / bath / munster a/ leinster / ospreys - 9 / munster - 9 / rochelle - 2
    @ 48/1

    Wasps - leinster double result @ 11/2

First score leinster pen @ 6/4

What a crazy day, but I'm still about 24% ahead so far despite a bit of a cock-up with Munster try scorers. Everything will be going on my favourite team (Saracens) tomorrow.

Chris Ashton is in 'flying' form again. :D
