Lads, will Wales defeat the 12 point handicap today? I think given they'll be chasing a BP and how poor the Italian side are, it's nearly a given. Evens is fair price for this definitely.

That's what I was thinking originally, but a lot of people mentioning O'Shea's influence helping Italy. Also people saying Italy are at home and normally put in a good performance at start of campaign. But I can't steer away from the fact that Zebre and Treviso are so useless and that surely the Italian team is made up of these players?

Thoughts on Keith Earls or Paddy Jackson as first try scorer?

What did PP know that rest of us didn't? They paid out on a Scottish victory just 10 minutes after kick off - I cashed out quickly just in case. :D

They were paying out this weekend if any team you backed went 10 points up. Don't know will they continue it throughout the championship or not.

That was available @ -16 before round 1.

That will move depending on Sexton's availability. In my head he's worth 7-10 points to Ireland. Keep an eye on team news and you might get a jump on the bookies, though they are generally quick to react for big games.

Two wounded teams that both beat the Boks quite recently and anything is possible despite the thrashing that Wales gave them. Avoid.

Ireland should win comfortably id imagine and bounce back from last week, not sure if I'd back - 22 though not much value

Much value in Wales +7.5 at 1.57? I think they'll put in a big performance and will stay within a score of England.

No value there for me. Could be a winning bet but zero value.

LBPs mean there is more value in taking +7.5 but I wouldn't go for that price either.

    Double:
Connacht -12 at home against Dragons.
    Glasgow +12 away to Ulster

Each one has odds of 10/11

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 45,433 ✭✭✭✭thomond2006

I'd watch out for how many internationals Glasgow have available.

certainly worth waiting for team announcements

a strong ulster team could be worth -12 easily.

leinster - 13 is good value in my opinion.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,269 ✭✭✭ClanofLams

Connacht -12 is a gift. Can't see Connacht failing to get a no so I expect them to score thirty plus. Dragons are a poor side, would be disappointing to concede more than 10ish.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,066 ✭✭✭Johngoose

I'm tempted by Zebre+39, they are away to the Scarlets.i know they are a poor side, but if they got a few points at all,it would be hard for the Scarlets to cover that handicap...
