FR6673 LPL-NOC entering the hold at Knock, IRVR at the threshold gone below 300m. This flight is already delayed by 5 hours due to fog in Liverpool!

Someone finally breaking the Christmas embargo!

A sad day in my opinion, can't we have one day, just one day a year where people don't need to shop/fly etc. I understand that Xmas day to Kuwait is like any another day but I'd hate to see airlines running schedules on Xmas day here, don't care if it's done elsewhere, we should be able to go one day a year without

The flight appears to stay in Shannon for 2:10 hrs, but they don't pick up passengers.
Are the KWI passengers allowed into the terminal?

Each passenger clears security screening at the airport, hence the reason for the stopover.

Also worth noting that the security at Shannon complies with both EASA and FAA regulations.

BCY9126 Shannon to Newcastle diverted to Dublin

FR24 error, was destined for Dublin.

The Superjets are flying between DUB/SNN/NCL all the time, training flights I assume. One was doing circuits at Shannon on Thursday.

EI723 LHR-ORK going to enter the hold at ORK, IRVR'S for RWY35 are 400m, 375m and 325m, wind is 350 degrees 11 knots so RWY17 (which is CAT II) is out of limits (Tailwind) and only CAT I is available on RWY35.

EI877 going around at ORK, RVR dropped below 300m.

    Last arrival of the evening.

Update: Going around again and diverting to Dublin.

Large distance between landing aircraft on RWY10 at Dublin. One of the Taxiways closed? (E3 is it?) Landing traffic being told to vacate via E2 near the end.

Has been like that the last few days on RWY10, causing a bit of a mess

Oh, haven't really been watching much! What's the reason for the taxiway being closed?

Pavement upgrade woks, ducting/site works, and relocation of runway/edge/taxiway lighting.

There was a second 727 in SNN just before that also M-STAR. Rare to see two of these birds in the one day.

GLF5 N80AD. I haven't determined the operator yet but the non-standard colour scheme may be a clue:

One of the fire-fighting planes sent to Israel is just over Wicklow now..... no destination confirmed but assuming the USA

I had no idea that a 747 could fight fire!

    Impressive stats!

    400ft up
    140 kts over target area
    24,000 US Gal payload
25,000 ft dispersal length (single drop)

That's some tech and skill in action!
