Emily Rogers has said we'll definitely get NX news this week, no vagueness. She must be quite confident to risk her reputation if nothing else.

Rumor: DeNA handling actual development of Super Mario Run, no NX reveal this week but news next week

Analyst and Kantan Games CEO Dr. Serkan Toto shared some interesting tweets about Super Mario Run as well as the reveal of NX a few minutes ago.

Regarding Super Mario Run, DeNA is handling actual development – not Nintendo. DeNA is primarily in charge of the engineering and creation. However, the company isn’t designing or directing it. Nintendo watches over QA and is essentially the creative team. Shigeru Miyamoto is personally overseeing Super Mario Run’s progress as we know. To clarify further, Super Mario Run is being designed and directed by Nintendo in Kyoto while DeNA takes care of engineering in Tokyo.

Toto has also heard that the NX will not be revealed this week, despite some rumors indicating otherwise. While that may (or may not) be true, it also seems that Nintendo will talk about its platform as part of its Q2 earnings next Wednesday – which certainly makes sense. Toto has more confidence in his source about Super Mario Run than NX.

That rumour has been reputed by several 'insiders' on Neogaf. For whatever its worth.

its interesting that Emily made a point to disagree with Toto about him saying he doesn't think there'll be a reveal this week.

That sounds pretty confident, if she's got good info this time.

Emily Rogers has back-pedalled on us getting news this week. So aside from me being dissapointed, it proves twitter 'insiders' are 98% bull****.

Insider: NX Getting A New IP From Nintendo Japan, "Weird, Fun And Crazy, Trying To Be Next Splatoon"

There are multiple rumors on the internet regarding official announcement of Nintendo NX incoming in October 2016, however, no official confirmation from Nintendo. Twitter user Emily Rogers is one of the insiders who first talked about the reveal of Nintendo NX incoming in October 2016. A new update from Emily is a sort of disappointing news for Nintendo fans who are eagerly waiting to hear something from Nintendo on NX.

Emily has stated that she is "not 100% convinced" that a news on Nintendo NX will happen this week. On this note, I would like to advise Nintendo fans to keep their hopes and expectations in check.

On a positive note, Emily talked about a brand new IP currently in development at Nintendo for NX. She revealed that this brand new IP is currently in development from one of the Nintendo's teams in Japan. She went on to describe the IP as "weird, fun and crazy. Nintendo doesn't have another game like this"

Adding more to it, Emily said that this new IP is trying to be the next Splatoon.

Lastly, Emily added that she still has a positive feeling about getting some sorts of news on Nintendo NX later this week.

To be fair to Emily, and I've been pretty critical of her info in the past, people are putting too much on the exactness of the reveal. She says she still thinks it could be this week, she may be just a little too fortright in how shes gotten that across. Vagueness would actually have helped her this time.

But anywho, 1 more day closer.

If wasn't at work, could post "One More Day" from Les Miserables

And think taking what she said exactly as "Trying to be the next Splatoon" is slightly out of context. She was basically saying that as far as new IPs are concerned, it would be more along the lines of Splatoon than Wii Sports in terms of target audience, etc.

Gimme a break, Emily Rogers knows nothing. That tweet is vague enough so she can't be proven technically wrong.

"2008 Characters . The game was playable with many prototypes . All videos where realtime but we had too much technical issues . We wanted planet exploration , space travel , cities ... All this was also supposed to be in BGE 1 ... Instead of not doing the game of our dreams , we decided to return to 2d , have fun with Rayman and go back at work for Beyond good and Evil 2 . We still have loooooots of work but now the tech is ready and the team is fantastic !"

If the rumours are true about this game being an NX exclusive then it could mean that the NX is fairly powerful.

No Strategy Briefing Planned for Nintendo's Q2 Financials - NX, 3DS and Mobile Updates Still Expected

In a recent editorial breaking down timelines for potential NX details we highlighted 26th October as a key date - this is the date when Nintendo will report its second quarter financial results. In the equivalent reports for the last financial year, Company President Tatsumi Kimishima delivered a Corporate Policy Briefing, while a shareholder Q & A was also published. Both are common in Nintendo's quarterly reports, but they don't happen every time without fail.

In an article outlining key details for next week's financial reports, however, The Wall Street Journal has reported that no Corporate Strategy Meeting is planned this year, meaning that Nintendo will face less direct questions beyond its initial presentation of results. This doesn't mean that no updates are expected, far from it, but there could be less fleshed out details than we'd perhaps hope for; the officially published presentations and investor Q & A articles can be insightful and full of information, but they seemingly won't be present this year.

To move onto more positive ground, WSJ still expects updates - though potentially limited in scope - on key topics, as company President Tatsumi Kimishima will be presenting the Q2 financial results and answering some questions from the media.

    Key points are summarised below.
    • Nintendo "is expected to announce its plan on how it would unveil its next-generation videogame platform... It is unlikely—though not impossible—that the company would talk about the NX this week via online presentations".
    • The financial results will show what impact Pokémon GO has had on Nintendo's revenues, with some detail expected on the performance of the Plus add-on.
    • As normal we can expect some reference to the 3DS and upcoming games.
    • Some additional information may come for Super Mario Run, a key Mobile arrival this year on iOS.
    • Of no surprise is that analysts expect Nintendo to return a profit for the reporting period, despite a decline in revenues compared to last year.

Some interesting points from a reputable publication, in any case. The apparent lack of a formal Corporate Strategy Meeting means that Nintendo can easily limit any detail it gives. This option to avoid extensive questioning from shareholders does open up the possibility of revealing an unveiling strategy for NX without going into much further detail.

This reminds me so much of the last couple of days before an exam or a project due date, when after weeks of playing Mariokart and eating pizza you'd sit down and go "OK... lets get started!" but you can't remember what it was you were meant to be doing and you were so close to unlocking mirror mode...

Somewhere in Kyoto, surrounded by empty boxes and broken wiimotes there's a team of 11 elite engineers with bruised elbows staring at a napkin pinned to the wall, a napkin with a rough sketch of a rectangle with NOT WII-U!!! scrawled above it, wondering just how much trouble they're going to be in if they don't knuckle down soon. And behind them engineer 12 finally crosses the finish line and clicks through the replay so they can get back to the important work at hand.

'Not the WiiU' is a great name but it still doesn't tell the stupid consumers that it's not a Wii add on.

Don't know what is the worst wait this release date or Winds of Winter release date. Both are way overdue in so many ways.

The only difference really is the last Nintendo console wasn't underwhelming, whereas, dance of dragons was disappointing. And there has been so many other good fantasy books out since.

"Oh, it's an actual console?!" is a question I've gotten twice from people that actually like games.

Surveying the Wii U's now dwindling lifespan and I'm not sure I'd lay the blame at the foot of the consumer all too much. The mixture of Nintendo's paradoxically conservative-yet-bat****-insane corporate philosophy and the Wii U's overthought, yet still somehow sloppy launch is going to be an interesting case study once history gets its hands on it.

So, yeah, call the NX "Wii 2" or "Super Wii" or "Wii really need this one to work out, lads" and treat the Wii U sideshow as the little console that could, but didn't, yet still somehow has a whopper library.

That's fairly putting it on the line now. I actually think there will be news this week. She doesn't use language (I don't mean the bad lol) like that too often, that and other 'sources' making noise this week.

If the nx gives us nothing else, it will have been a success because of your post, Nintendo says thanks.
