    Ireland's 12 is a wonderfully balanced runner.

    England try.

    Game over.

Our front row has been mangled- England on a different planet- our front row was blown up beating Georgia and Argentina- really showed up here-same as the 6 nations we struggled at scrum time, wish we could at least get parity there sometime

nz under 20's must be awful to lose to this mob.

Irish people as a people are far too accepting.

Sure going by the other thread losing 2-1 to an average SA was a good tour.

This is just pure rubbish plain and simple.

We're not talking about U12s here where criticism isn't acceptable... If we always just bury our heads in the sand about things like this we'll never get better.

    Well..

This Irish side has already given the best showing of any u20 side ever. So there's obviously been an improvement over what's gone before and a number of these players will play senior internationals. But so will the English. They've very good.

Looked like a forward pass at end. But outrageous running

    Men and boys.

He won MOTM in a big European game this season when most of our guys were playing U20 games for AIL clubs.

Match is over but that was great open running from Stockdale

    Great try

Good time for Stockdale to be coming into form. Ulster really in need of a decent winger/FB/centre.

Ref gave a not supporting body weight penalty!

The players with senior experience are the standouts in this game. When our u20's get some experience at top level I hope they'll improve as much too.

    Kerins has been dreadful.

Looks completely rattled. Passing is awful and decision making even worse.

That was just brainless...he'll never make that mistake again

    Stupid from Karins
He had a great tournament, good prospect

Top notch try saver there from Keenan. Up there with Faf today, possibly better since he turned it over legally too.

Referee has lost the game. He's intimidated to call things now.

Not sure you can read too much into this, a lot of these u20 guys will amount to nothing. For some of them this might be the highlight of their career.

Disappointing end to what was an excellent tournament for the Irish side. Well beaten by a better side, but there's a lot of positives to take. The players showed excellent skills and backed them when under pressure. Showed some excellent phase play and have a very solid set piece.

Obviously there were some standout performers;'Ryan,Porter, Deegan, Stockdale, McBurney. But the squad as a whole showed they have a high level of basic skills which will serve them well in the future. Expect a number of others who weren't standouts to make it as pros too because of the high quality skill levels they've shown.

Ballsy finish to keep pushing and deegan deserves the try. But class performance from England

  • Registered Users Posts: 13,624 ✭✭✭✭thebaz

one game too many - the achievement against Baby Blacks will live on - have seen better Irish back lines at this level - Porter, Ryan and Deegan hopefully have bright futures at leinster ... today was a reality check, but overall I'm a lot more confident for Irish rugby ever since Connacht victory.

Fair play to the lads getting that third try - Deegan deserved it. They have given us some great entertainment. Disappointing evening though.
