Indeed pureza the East looks likely to get some embedded storms in quite an active front with some heavy rainfall totals showing up already, no doubt warnings to follow. Could get some localized flooding especially if caught under a thunderstorm only adding to the already high totals.

The warm humid airmass moving over us now and later on add the trough and fronts over us later Weds into Thurs and we will see what thunderstorm activity we get. Very hard to pinpoint but along the S coast tomorrow evening will be watching to see how much moves in off the sea and how potent it is and later into the SW moving up towards the W , later again maybe the SE and up along the E and midlands into Thurs morning. During Thursday frontal activity could produce forcing and could see embedded lines of storms forming perhaps with very heavy rain . Anywhere really could get heavy convective rain and a thunderstorm could pop up just about anywhere. Maybe not as widespread as first thought tomorrow night but should see some developing, models have eased off a tad on MUCAPE, maybe some elevated storms?

Getting in to the low 20's tomorrow ,remaining mild overnight into around the mid teens and Thurs again getting up around 20C in places with high Dp's well into the mid teens, muggy day.

Fri and Sat potential for storms and locally heavy rain also.

Looking for over 30 on the K-Index and add a front increases thunderstorm potential again .

Thank you @Meteorite58 knowledgable as ever. Will be a radar watching situation for myself in north Ros to see if we can be involved in the front on Thursday. Pity the timing could be a small bit better for most!

Seeing some spectacular videos of storms across the Costa del Sol, near Marbella tonight. Another big crop of storms of NW Portugal as well, I guess that'll be the tap for our unstable air later tomorrow.

Gone very dull in Tralee, temp dropping slightly as a result, feels humid and a few drops, will see if the storm grows.

    Clare (430ft asl)

Plenty of lightning strikes across Munster this afternoon, including ground strikes near Ballingarry, County Limerick, and between Mallow and Fermoy, County Cork. The latter strikes have resulted in power cuts.

There was some audible thunder in Cork City at about 3:20pm so - didn't seem to produce any visible lightning and was fairly distant sound, but a good rumble.

Lightning needs to be very close to you to see a flash during daylight hours, different story at night obviously when it can be seen miles away.
