4 away games in a row? Are they doing something to their ground?

I've had a look, and it looks like Luton actually have the easiest first ten fixtures, and Sheffield United have the hardest. It's a bit tricky this year, as I would usually use last years home and away form, but there was quite a lot of untypical behaviour last year. Like Chelsea were 15th in home form last season, but last season was an utter mess, and I don't think they'll be anywhere near that bad this year with a good manager like Poch.

Absolutely take this with a pinch of salt, but this is the top 5 teams with the easiest first 10 fixtures:

1: Luton; home to Spurs and away to Villa will be their most difficult matches.

2: Liverpool; Away to Newcastle and away to Spurs will be their trickiest

3: Arsenal; Home to City, Spurs, United and Fulham (6th in the away league last year) but easier games against Forest, Everton and Sheffield

4: Chelsea; Home to Arsenal and Liverpool, Villa and Brentford

5: Villa; Toughest games are away to Liverpool & Newcastle, home to Brighton

Then the 3 with the worst first ten games are:

1: Sheffield United; Home to City, Newcastle & United, Away to Arsenal and Spurs

2: Brighton; Away to City, United & Villa, home to Newcastle, Liverpool and Fulham

3: Wolves; Away to United, home to Brighton, City, Newcastle and Liverpool

(I'm laid up in bed with tendonitis and this is stopping me going mad btw)

Basic excel file with all GW fixtures.

Column D needs to be filled in with the 3 letters relevant to each team.

It will then populate the sheet with their games.

I don't think I made any errors, but would appreciate being told if anyone spots one.

But mount hasn’t so fed for United yet… in fact because of that he’ll likely be cheaper than if he was a United player

My first thought on Trippier at 6.5 is nope, and second thought is TAA will be 7.5.

Son at 9.0 is very interesting. Spurs new manager is known for his attacking style of play.

Agree on Trippier. Same with Son - could be a bargain if he discovers anything even close to previous form.

Haaland at 14.0 is perfect. it gives people a genuine decision to make.

Trent at 8.0 is high considering Liverpool's defensive issues last season. it's strong pricing, but I think 7.5 would've been fine. I suspect they've priced that thinking he might be in his England position. I find it hard to justify Robertson being 1.5m cheaper if Trent will be RB.

Fernandes is low at 8.5. nailed on every week and on penalties. i'll find it hard not to have him.

Bell is nailed on for Luton as far as i can tell, so he's our first 4.0 enabler.

Son is spot on at 9.0. still high enough to scare off some, but gettable for those who think he can reach the heights again - the 3m premium for Kane is exactly right. you've a choice to make.

if Brentford are still good, Mbeumo is a cracking price as a midfielder. he could be their main striker until New Year.

I'll be staying away from Trippier to start with. too pricey with all those games coming at them.

Wow TAA as a 8.0 defender. That makes him difficult.

Robbo as 6.5 CB is very high. Too high.

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,084 ✭✭✭Flaneur OBrien

Surprised to see Mac at 6mil. I thought he'd be quite the attacker for Pool

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,439 ✭✭✭caviardreams

Son could be great value but Spurs are so up in the air it's a wait and see - easy enough to get him in for Bruno etc if he sets fire

  • Registered Users Posts: 36,073 ✭✭✭✭SlickRic

    Saka at 8.5.

    Jesus at 8.0.

    Very odd pricing.

Saka should be at least 9.5, if not 10.0. Jesus at least 9.0.

Saka, Salah, Bruno already looking like an excellent start to midfield.

  • Registered Users Posts: 19,666 ✭✭✭✭Ace2007

I dunno, i think you are over egging Saka - his form wasn't that good last season - sure he had a period where he did well, but compare him to Son who has had one bad season out of the last 5, and is priced at 9m. Martinelli and Odergaard were better value.
