    Ok will do. Something going badly wrong with referrals recently.

    If anyone who has successfully accepted a referral link and got the credit sees anything wrong with my steps for accepting a referral please let us know. Thanks.

    Finally got myself and @deadduck (pending confirmation) sorted for referral credit via WhatsApp support.

    Emails I sent have been sitting unanswered for 5 days so WhatsApp definitely the way to go.

    Any chance I could be added to referral list also when possible? Thanks!

    Steps for accepting a referral (1st time headset owner bought brand new):

    1. Please do not activate your headset before opening the referral link.
    2. Open the referral link.
    3. Click sign up / login
    4. Login with your meta account OR Create a meta account if you dont have one (I recommend setup with email option*).
    5. Use the same meta account login details when activating your headset.

    *You can add your facebook and instagram accounts in headset settings later if you want but you dont have to.

    If you have already activated your headset and still want to try accepting a referral:

    1. Must be done within 7 days of first activation of headset.
    2. Factory Reset: Open the mobile app->settings->devices->factory reset. Please note any installed games will have to re-download and any game saves not backed up to cloud will be lost.
    3. Remove the Meta Quest headset from the "Devices" section in the meta quest mobile app.
    4. Open the referral link.
    5. Login with your meta account from before factory reset.
    6. Setup your headset again.

    Any updates needed to these steps please let us know.

    Meta have updated their terms to clarify that referrals are for first time headset activation with a Meta account. E.g. if you already own a Quest 2 and purchase a Quest 3 then no referral unfortunately. HOWEVER mrcheez has managed to refer himself while upgrading from Quest 2 to Quest 3 resulting in 2 x 30 euro referral credit. Please see these posts for more info:

    Yes we got the €60 without any issues thankfully. I completed the entire process in one sitting (without any delay between stages, if that makes sense) - so clicked the referral link, set up a Meta account (using email) and then switched on the Quest for the first time. The €60 store credit was on the account straight away when we linked up the new Quest 3 to it.

    I'm in a WhatsApp with Meta regarding the referral link I used from @paulie13

    They're asking for full name, email address and alias of both parties.

    In the end they could not get it to work, but maybe you'll have better luck than us.


    Not sure what's going wrong at the moment with these, but I think people need to be willing to share these details with users here.

    You both should get credit. Did you get yours?

    Goto store then any game and look at the bottom to check.

    If you didnt I would get back on to them and ask for it...

    I left this to almost the last minute :), but I managed to get AW2 on my main account, and €60 on my main and alt accounts. Thanks for the guides @mrcheez and @podgeandrodge !

    I think I'll leave the €60 on the alt account for the time being, as I'm hoping Meta will send me a 30%/€8 credit for the new account at some point. Then I'll buy a game that never goes on sale like Lone Echo 2.

    BTW, the double referral bonus is active until 8am tomorrow folks!

    I completed a referral few days ago with user @Officer Giggles . I didn't update the forum because initially it didn't work, but now the user @tea and coffee asked for a referral and with my son we just realized that the previous referral from last week worked out well. So I have asked the user @tea and coffee to contact the next referral user.

    Thanks for facilitating it @jj880 and happy to be part of the list to provide referral again in the future (well, my son will be happy).
