Couldn't like this post enough.
That looks like a response to a post that isn't mine.
Is phase 3 done?
I’m not letting anyone do anything. I’m just not taking a brand new vaccine yet for a disease that I’m extremely low risk for. Not gonna happen my guy.
It was just this one speaker that put me off really. I was watching on live stream while contemplating going in but decided against it.
This speaker began this really weird speech mentioning the miracle of how we were sperms inside our mothers, which led on to abortion.
It put me right off.
From 2:36:30 in the video
Good video - I doubt its the claimed tens of thousands, but it looks to be more than the 1500 that RTE claim.
Also does any one know when coronavirus_ireland switched from being panic and fear to being 'enough already'?
They might not be selfish. Many of them genuinely believe whatever their cousin Mary, who's a nurse or at least wears scrubs in their profile shared on facebook about untested altering your dna and turning you into a magnet. They think they're doing the right thing based the information they have. The problem is that the information they're working from is bullshít.
Clinical trials are complete - stop scaremongering or do so in the Conspiracy Theories forum.
Any questions PM me - do not respond to this post in thread
BTW, if you think the vitriol against “anti vaxers” is bad now, wait until a variant comes along rendering the vaccine useless. Or immunity isn’t as long lasting as we hoped. Or we’re “forced” to go into lockdown again. Things could get nasty.
I don't think that person is necessarily selfish. They've just fallen for the less extreme version of the vaccine disinfo, namely the FUD strategy. FUD's at the low end of the scale while 5g and magnet stuff is at the upper end.
We saw last year that mass scapegoating can be turned on and off like a tap.
The vitriol against 'selfish muppets' last year was insane. Insane.
I would be very curious to know your professional titles? Please refer those here and punish all the ignorants in this world
They certainly could but outside of facebook bubbles, people generally understand that covid only mutates when it's given a chance. The more people with it, the more likely it is to mutate. We also understand that anti-vaxers and anti-maskers are giving covid a helping hand with it.
Unfortunately we've a history of temporary things in Ireland becoming permanent.
All it takes is a PhD in not unquestionably believing the shíte he reads on social media.
You could have said, blah, blah, blah - generic fake news anti vax propaganda that appeals to the thick and mentally unstable in our society.
The Vintners Association won't let that happen. This is something that can be justified during a pandemic but not after. Where the government brings in temporary measures that become permanent tends to be in areas where they take our money.
It's a PHD not to be sniffed at. Plenty of people seemingly don't have it.
the like of mcmoustache..
We have one of the best places to live in the world but this thread is an example of why we don't deserve it as we are a bunch of moaning aholes.
People here say they want to get on with living but jaysus the anti lockdown, anti vax brigade here are a miserable moany lot.
So, do you confirm that you have a PhD or you're just too modest to list your titles here??? C'mon..where does your wonderful knowledge come from? Do not be shy
Your phone qr scanner wont work, You log onto this and it works, Gave me my name, Date of vaccine etc
Are you telling me that when there's water coming from the ceiling, you get a plumber instead of the advice of Eileen from facebook where she calls it a hoax and suggests that it'll go away by itself? Or when your clutch goes, you go to a mechanic instead of listening to the guy down at the pub who told you that clutches fix themselves if you just leave the car running?
It wasn't scapegoating, most of it was pointing out people who were being selfish aholes because these type of people were responsible for prolonging lockdown through their selfish actions. Much like the anti vax numpties out protesting today.
Jesus, surely you could pick someone better than Dolores Cahill to try and make that point. If you won't accept my qualifications to judge her, which is fair enough, presumably for consistency, you would accept the qualifications of her fellow committee members who asked her to resign her position on a scientific committee for innovative medicine, the qualifications of her former colleagues at the Max Planck institute for Molecular Genetics who denounced her views, and the qualifications of her peers and superiors at UCD who removed her from her lecturing duties for talking bollocks (e.g., claiming wearing masks deprived the wearer of oxygen and it was just a big conspiracy by the gov't to make people more easy to control, and that people needn't worry about covid if they took vitamins)? She has tenure, so it's exceedingly difficult to fire her unless she kills someone or sleeps with a student and they make an issue of it - no matter what batshit nonsense she comes out with henceforth.
Dear McMoustache, could you please enlighten us and tell us your professional title??
It was scapegoating and it was completely mental. The failure of lockdown was waved away with a "Communism has never really been tried" mushhead defence.
Since no one has learned anything, another round of scapegoating could come again this winter.
Hospitality area irrelevant as race meetings are outside only. The venue is huge and the vaccination centre occupies a very small area. The 2 big days Wednesday and Thursday regularly have had crowds of 30 to 40 thousand.Car parking is another red herring plenty of space for thousands of cars.Mayo and Galway game transferred to Croke park tomorrow with 18k allowed in, all travelling in groups for over 2 hours each way plus food stops etc yet only 1000 allowed at races.Nonsensenical decision and probably because politicians are terrified of the the long gone infamous Fianna Fail tent and the inevitable barrage of abuse if outbreaks are traced back to the races.
