Gerry Fitz has been doing that job since codys last year I’m pretty sure not sure was he involved this year though think he has been with the boro recently aswell

That Gerry hussey might be good at his job but he would wear you 🤣

I’d prefer us to go after the likes of Gary keegan who has been involved with cork the last few years and along with billy Walsh led the revolution in Irish boxing Gary is very skilled at implementing the right type of high performance culture

We also had ray boyne involved with the stats this year who was involved with Dublin through all there success and tipp in 2019

So it’s not as if very skilled people haven’t been involved it just hasn’t worked for whatever reason

Pity Ray Boyne who I am sure is getting well paid didn’t notice the score line in the semi. Too busy yapping on social media

Despite all the doom, I do believe is that only for that once-in-a-lifetime goal by Oisin O’Donoghue (which I am confident was mis-hit) Kilkenny would be in the All Ireland today and would beat Cork.

We are nearly guaranteed a semi final place every year, we were poor the last 10 minutes as everything we spoke about occurred. Same story, different year, if we cant beat 14 men we don't deserve to be there. We are blessed we dont have to worry about Munster opposition until semi final. We would struggle to get out of Munster imo, so talk of winning All Irelands is very deceiving as we have to many cracks with an aging team

I don't agree with that at all. I'd love to be in Munster and we would absolutely qualify in top 3 the vast majority of years. Leinster is 100% holding us back. Munster counties have a significant advantage getting the games they get before the semi final stage. We snatched defeat from the jaws of victory the last 2 years, we have the players but for some reason we are lacking mental fortitude all of a sudden. Mir intense and regular games might fix that.

Best of luck to both teams today, I hope they both lose! Cork favs but if Tipp can keep it tight I reckon they'll have the guts to carry it through. Finishing line won't be coming fast enough for Cork, there's better stuff in the Tipp lads.

Ye lost because ye allowed tipp goal keeper to double tap the puck out and destroy the full back line . Tipp got no joy dropping puck outs on the Kilkenny half back line. Come to think of it , tipp have always destroyed KK with the long ball

Other than the obvious, who was and wasn't there for the jubilee team? They weren't given much time on rte and I was trying to figure out who everyone was

Best of luck to Cork, they have completely revolutionised hurling with the 3 man full forward line, direct hurling and incredible pace. Absolutely fantastic team to watch.

I feel sick supporting Tipp. Any chance both teams could lose ?

Goes to show how poor our backs are, apart from Huw Lawlor, none of them would make Tipp or Corks defence

KK players will be sick watching this

Huge chance of an all-Ireland gone to waste

An incredible second half by Tipp. Nothing but respect for it.

Jesus that is some bottle job from Cork. A sand as you'll see.

fair **** to Tipp. Some character.

I'll ask this again, what have Tipperary done right that Kilkenny have done wrong? They have guided an u20 All Ireland teams to senior glory, compared to our u20 team who won in 22. That's 3 All Irelands to Tipp since our last

Hopefully you’re watching the final and have seen Cork’s defence getting ripped to shreds at times.

People want to talk about Kilkenny bottling it against Tip (which I agree with), and at the same time talk up everybody else. Nothing between the teams at the top. Kilkenny have the players to beat any other team around. And if that’s not obvious, everything between your ears needs to be checked

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 429 ✭✭jamesbond2022

Corks soft underbelly and weakness at fullback has come back to haunt them that’s 3 all Irelands now that a lot of there players have failed to even show up

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 672 ✭✭✭mullinr2

Inspiration and bottle that's what's missing in Kilkenny compared to Tipp

To be fair, Cahill has done what you’d want from every top level manager. Squeeze every drop out of the talent available by instilling a massive sense of belief in the players. Tip have a couple of special players who can tip the balance of a game (excuse the pun). But the real quality is their work rate and their ability play as a team. That’s what got them to final against Kilkenny and let them run through Cork.

If only Kilkenny showed that belief and hunger.

if Cahill was a Kilkenny manager, we’d be lifting that cup. Absolutely brilliant manager. I am so envious that Tipp have him.

Masterclass from Liam Cahill and Mikey Bevans in the second half, as someone said earlier there’s very little between the top teams on the pitch but today shows again how important it is to have it on the sidelines and in the coaching staff.

Herity one of the two main coaches. Didn't realise he had that much influence

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 672 ✭✭✭mullinr2

David Herity getting a mention, christ almighty

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,742 ✭✭✭Village87

But I always stated through out the year that it would come back to haunt them and would not win an All Ireland. That aged well I thought

I'm still stunned tbh, fair play to Tipp when you consider where they were after the Cork game in Thurles 14 months ago it's crazy stuff.

Have we lost to the eventual winners nearly every year since we last won it ? Jaysus

You shot yourself in the foot with your half time remark. Trying to accuse the Kilkenny team as some have here of a lack of bottle and hunger is pure treachery. Even for O'Donohoe's goal there was five attempting to block, likewise the number of our players in the picture when Doyle stopped John Donnellys last minute strike. You can say they made dreadful unforced errors and decisions when with the extra man but lack of bottle and hunger. ..NEVER.6Hang your heads in shame.Brilliant from Tipp true champions and Cork fell for the hype. Ronan Maher a man apart, display and zpeech.
