Throwing the ball is the most important part of Limericks game plan. I cannot understand how every other team do not just do the same. Have we ever seen a ref to award more than 2 frees in a game against a team for throwing... maybe ...just maybe this year other teams will match them with the throwing and nasty late slaps.... be a brave ref to start giving frees to one team and not the other

Yes, midfield was good yesterday. Think Cian Kenny has hopefully found some consistency and looks comfortable in his surroundings. With Mikey Carey to return and Kevin Blanchfield doing ok as well we could have some options in.this area.

Just goes to show that the 24 - 26 year bracket is where a lot of lads come to prominence so it may take s few more years before we see the best of some of the recent successful U20s.

well done to the cats .Great to know tj is married to a limerick woman maybe he might move up here, his work rate immense tracking c oneil back to the 21 nearly hooking him back up to catch and bury one at the other end.Apreciate him while ye have him

One thing I noticed yesterday .... And hoped somebody more learned could educate me ... (I can't string 2 words of Irish together so perhaps my initial interpretation was wrong..)

Limerick got a line ball in the second half.. They were looking for a short/quick option. Mullen was live to this and knocked the ball away after it was placed... Owens seemed to upgrade the line ball Limerick a free ..

Is this what happened? And do the rules permit it? I wouldn't have thought so.. I wouldn't have thought the free could be for Mullen's action because the ball was dead...

That's what I presumed happened too. At the time I thought it was odd, but didn't think much more of it after. Not sure on the rule

In all honestly if someone went to all matches and another person went to none, it doesn't make them a "better supporter". No one should be criticising someone who didn't go or noone should have to explain themselves on a Web forum as to why!! Petty childish stuff now that is.

The only thing I'd say is if someone is attending matches and Kilkenny reach an all ireland final then they should be in a better position to get a ticket than someone who's not. But that's not always the case.

Anyway, well done to Kilkenny yesterday. Good to be back in a league final, but yesterday will count for nothing unless they win the final.

The sobering thing is while Kilkenny players head home to Ballyhale and Glenmore and go to work tomorrow, Limerick players head off on a JP funded professional training trip to Portugal. Not a fair fight

And Croke Park sit back and watch these counties go away on warm weather training. Then pretend they're concerned about expenses. All they have to do is ban them altogether.

JP must be wondering why his sponsorship from 2005 to 2018 yielded one Munster title, about 5 wins in the Munster championship and a players strike. Limericks dominance will soon be over as they don’t have the same players coming through.

Minors bet by Tipp in Thurles by 4 points, a good rattle by all accounts. Can’t wait to hear what Shane Dowling has to say tonight

It's amazing they spent a decade or more getting out from under the consequences of his last stint only to give him the job again. Some people can't get close to a cliff without jumping off it.

They’d have been just as well off going to Portlaw.

Yesterday's game mightn't mean much in a few months but it was very important kk stopped the rot even if it was only the league. Im sure the lads will have a pep in their step going to training next week. The performance of course wasnt perfect but we done some things very well and tactically we definitely done things well. Im not convinced deego is the man for 6 but he gave in 2 lovely balls for two goals. Puckouts, puckouts, puckouts. Looking at the clare match today the difference in the two teams puckouts compared to ours is huge. Scruff is a savage shotstopper but i just cant understand some of his puckouts.

To be fair to jordon molloy and shane murphy they both have done well. Luke hogan has definitely had good moments when ya consider where he came from. Great to get another game before championship. Clare are motoring well and a few lads were dissapointed with their performance in ennis have a chance to go better and win a bit of silverware which would be great.

On the injury front the 2 mikeys should be back the next day although no one will obviously be risked. Tom phelan and stephen donnelly should be back on the pitch very soon. Conor heary had a minor setback but nothing serious. Conor fogarty a few weeks away.Wally will miss a few early rounds of the championship.

laois it the talk , he would do an actual good job with a team like that there is a base to work with , but look at how they treated eddie brennan up there

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,474 ✭✭✭windy shepard henderson

we are in the same boat , i think its a big game for both teams just to win something and back up the good work over the last two years

I think they were hoping to open end of March if pitch repairs were successful and the weather played ball.

There's a notable improvement in the various online Kilkenny GAA communication systems as promised by Phil Hogan. For example, lovely to get information on the under 19 development squad, under 20s and the new under age happenings. The presentation of these and team announcements is way better than anything before. Very positive.
