my own fault, and I should've asked for clarification, but I assumed international retirement would rule you out.

obviously, 'for any reason', includes that. but i just got it in my head!

fúck, there are a lot of picks to choose from.

I actually thought the same which is why I ignored Robben, my own mistake also

    Was tempted by Buffon.

If the euros was on last year Robben wouldn't have been eligible. Funny how things turn out.

Booo! Why can't I have nice things!

great pick, Some would say The Great Dane but I'd consider Buffon the best goalie of my lifetime.

No idea who I'm going for in this round now

I had a feeling I was taking your pick however, as a hint, there is another goalkeeper that is sneakily eligible ;)

There's more than one on my count. Fully expected more keepers to go this round

Yeah I was sweating getting one of the 3 I wanted. Not a single one before me.

attack minded midfielder (Iniesta) or GK (Buffon) were my two hopeful picks as this round progressed.

there were definitely a good few quality goalkeepers available in this round (including at least one I'd say would be in the argument for best goalie in the world atm) but I've a feeling there is a bigger discrepancy between the standard of prime AM (available now and in the next non special round) and goalies especially when you consider that IcMan is the only person before I go again and has a goalie.

A few other AMs I could have picked too, in particular a few Spaniards but prime Ozil is an assist machine.

I doubt either of Pedro or Stones were on many people's lists but I feel they make perfect sense to my side.

Yeah I probably wouldn't have taken Stones myself but if you told me I could pair him with Dias like this season he would suddenly become a far more appealing prospect and especially in Rd11 thats good value.

Stones is a good pick, Pedro I've always been unsure of. I was sure someone was going to pick Milner for some reason!

I got it in my head that someone would pick Seamus Coleman.

Petr Cech was available was my hint. Maybe should have made it obvious as I did feel bad as I knew you wanted Buffon :p

Actually had a big old list of goalies who I guess aren’t eligible now so can be mentioned like Oblak & Ter Stegen but thought my defense was strong enough and the priority had to be creativity in midfield.

I think this round was a good shout as the folk who might have not liked someone getting 1st overall and say a Messi definitely got something here with the likes of Iniesta, Zlatan, Ramos, Van Dijk and co

I had Fabregas and David Silva as certains to go in that round.

Also thought someone would add Diego Costa. Thought about them all but I wanted to play Messi in the false 9 role with Ronaldo coming in from the left so I needed to add someone on the right.

Having Messi playing in the role I think he was at the peak of his powers in and managing to get Pedro to his right hand side is very useful because we all know it works. Its the Barca front 3 from 2011 except I've upgraded Villa to Ronaldo

Picking very smoothly done for the most part, well done everyone :)

I won't be on my laptop much over the weekend, everyone ok if I start the group threads either Sunday evening or Monday morning?

Will draw the groups tomorrow so people can think over how they want to approach things.

Cake, and grief counseling, will be available at the conclusion of the test

Sounds good. Thanks for running this, GLaDOS. I've enjoyed it more than the UEFA fantasy football game.

I couldn't believe that they didn't go , Diego Costa perhaps not but them 2 were certs to go I thought.
