What was the story with the two lads who started 're-pacing' him with about 1km to go?

I wonder was that kinda planned. He came up to lap them and they really responded and he slipped in behind them for a lap or so. I thought he was just so b@lloxed that he couldn't pass them, but I'm not so sure.

Mo will surely call it a day soon, no?
On the track he probably should. There is quite a bit of hubris in just showing up again on the track after fours years, barely two months before the Olympics, with a niggle and at his age.

Startlists for next Thursday's Diamond League in Florence are out. Men's 5k should be the meet of the night anyway, startlist includes Cheptegei, Edris, Barega, Jakob, Gebrhiwet, McSweyn and Katir.

Men's steeplechase startlist includes Kipruto, El Bakaali and Wale, whilst the women's 1500 includes Hassan, Kipyegon and Muir. Mageean is scheduled to line up also, she really needs to show something here as she's been in poor form for a while now.

Hassan showing up in Rome might depend on how Hengelo goes today. Let's Run are billing her 10k a world record attempt but they've hidden the article behind a paywall and there doesn't seem to be too much more out there about it. Hope it's true though.

    29:06.82 WORLD RECORD!

Sone range really, from 1500m up to half marathon. Wouldn't be suprised if she went under 3.50 1500m as well.

I'll be keeping a close eye on Florence next Thursday if she shows up. Would love her to go for a fast time again!

52.5 for Healy today in Henglo over 400m in a decent field. Another average run midweek over 200m in 23.65. A good 51.5 run in Belfastlast weekend plus a 200m race and then the midweek 200m race and todays 400m lot of racing over the week. Going back 5 or 6 weeks the word coming out of all the podcasts that 200m was the focus and that she was rounding into 22.5 shape. Plans seem to have changed since Adekele broke the 200m record .
Not many athletes like Alison Felix around that can run 200 and 400m equally well. All the top 200m athletes in the world now fine tuning for olympics are all running sub 11 sec 100m at the moment.

Rashidat has a big race this week..

this last week has been frustrating. I thought that one or two athletes would have "got over the qualifying line" by now. So big weeks ahead.

    No, they didn't broadcast it.

But don't they have the rights to that series? And the one on tonight Barr was in?

I thought they did too, not sure why it wasn't broadcast. Maybe someone else on here knows?

    Good going from Barr tonight
