Joe was accused of groping; during the Democrats primaries Kamala jumped on the #metoo , to say she believed the accuser.
    Neither have principles

Like Barack Obama, Joe Biden has all the clever tricks of a politician and none of the wisdom of a statesman.

And there's a reasonable basis for this. You can have intelligent students in underfunded schools that simply need the opportunity to reach their full potential. The outcomes educationally for both groups ends up the exact same. Ireland runs similar programmes for underprivileged students. Imagine most developed countries do.

Weirdly, I imagine you're far less concerned about people who pay for their children to get into universities in spite of them not being at expected standard.

In the real world we call it cheating

The problem is when job discrimination becomes official policy (even if they call it positive) then automatically the assumption is that the people are only there to fill quotas according to wokery and that better candidates were snubbed.

It might not be the case and the people could turn out to be very competent but its inevitable when this identity shyte becomes the norm.

I'm not discussing quotas. I'm discussing your retrograde views that women shouldn't hold positions of authority as they get periods and are therefore too emotionally unstable and a liability.

    Mine???

Apologies. I posted from my mobile and confused you with someone else. But I'm not discussing quotas, I'm discussing views regarding the ability of women to do high level jobs.

How? It's not a teenagers fault that they're in a more disadvantaged area while others are afforded greater resources when it comes to education... The fact that they perform as well as their counterparts indicates choosing them isn't incorrect.

If two students from different backgrounds in different schools get the same test or questions and their answers are the same but one is given higher marks based on their background then it is cheating.

    It benefits nobody.

Look.. I doubt anyone, in this day and age, has any serious belief that women cannot do any kind of high level jobs. Typically, the skills and mentality/personality needed to do those positions transcends gender completely, and these people are in a category of their own.. because they're specialists, who have done the proper preparation in education and skill acquisition. Our societies have moved away from the traditional limitations which prevented women from these positions (due to technology, but also the perception of what the jobs entail)

The issue with quotas is that it tends to avoid all of that with the aim of just putting women in positions because they are women. Not because of their skills, or the experience gained from working from the bottom to the top, but simply that they are women. There is a series of beliefs within many feminist streams that women shouldn't need to jump through the same hoops as men, to gain the 'better' positions, and in many ways, quotas were brought in to fulfill that expectation.

The problem with Biden is that everything he does seems more to do with the ticking of a particular box. The racial angle, the gender angle, etc. Rather than doing this because these are the best people for the job. And I don't doubt that these are all skilled people, but the lack of male representation screams agenda, and the furthering of agenda, because in the US, the importance and impact of feminism is far greater than it is in Europe.

Why are people even noticing this?

I'm not discussing quotas. I made no mention of quotas in my posts. For the record I'm generally against them. When I worked as a postdoc in a university all the women I worked with were disgusted at the women only professorships.

The biggest issue with regard to retaining women in academic science research is the lack of a properly defined career path and a lack of permanent positions. This affects both sexes, and in the biological sciences at least, men seemed to jump ship to other industries sooner than women did.

I'm discussing the view put forward in this thread that women are too temperemental to hold positions of authority. It's disgusting to read crap like that and the nonsense spouted in the McEntee thread. Attacking someone for their views or their track record is fair game, but people implying women are automatically lesser due to their biology is a pathetic view that I see raised on boards again and again.

Firstly, applications to any university are based on more than results. So you could get more than a person and the other person can get in. That's always been true. And it does tend to work out fine for all parties. The person from an advantaged background tends to have plenty of opportunities so if one doesn't work out. They still end up elsewhere.

The person who's ability is recognised via interview process even though their marks may not be as high. They give them the opportunity to demonstrate their ability and they on average perform as well as any other student.

You're in CA, which is an extension of AH, and quite frankly, everyone has to put up with utterly retarded viewpoints (no, mods, I'm not calling anyone a retard). It's the nature of this forum to stick pins in your flesh.

The majority of immediate superiors/bosses I've had were women, so, nah, biology doesn't play into it, imho. (I've worked in finance and as a lecturer)

However, I've noticed here that if it's a positive comment, then it's allowed. Earlier, a poster made the comment that the women might be more compassionate than a male group. It seems that if the comment associates a positive trait to women then it's perfectly acceptable, and yet, it's based on the same flaw in logic.

Because both positions come from the same stupid and divisive identity politics that marks out the group rather than the individual as [insert characteristic(s) here]. The only real difference between the two cheeks of the same arse is currently one gets more seat time, but both are equally retarded. Marking out one gender for being "toxic" is just as stupid as marking out another incapable of doing a job.

Rejoice in the awareness of feeling stupid, for that’s how you end up learning new things. If you’re not aware you’re stupid, you probably are.

Before I went to Asia, I had this enormous pride in Western culture that it promoted and encouraged the individual. None of this collective nonsense. I was remarkably naive (and willfully ignorant). :D

After living in Asia, I've come to realisation, that Westerners are rushing headlong towards conformity, and group think. There is so much influence in Western cultures right now to split along gender, race, etc but each one is a move to create a mob or group think, rather than encourage the focus on individuality, and people having their own unique skillsets or abilities.. It makes me sad, in a way.

It'll be interesting how the girls handle the Hunter Biden investigation....or will they be asked about it?

The media in the US labelled this story Russian disinformation...we can be fairly certain those "journalists" won't be too inquisitive, but surely some media outlets will want clarification on what could well prove to damage the new administration, as we know from the account of a witness, this involves Biden himself!!!

    Trumpers triggered I see.

A highly competent and experienced press team.

The Trump administration would know nothing about that.

Are they though ? What do you know of their backgrounds and past ? Let’s wait and see how they perform first , ya ?

If it weren’t for Trump’s idiotic handling of Covid , that bollox was probably a shoe in for re-election . He was ridding high enough on the economic front (heavily lifting done by Obama’s administration) until Covid. We saw for ourselves from the media groups that serious matters like BLM and police brutality were way down the priority list for most of the electorate (which was rather remarkable)

When you had a fool like Trump not listening to his people , well, not even legendary spin doctors like Alstatir Campbell or our very own PJ Mara (you don’t have to like them but their results speak for itself) could have done much

So clearly , despite how idiotic / scummy guys like Steve Bannon or Sean Spicer were ... they did manage to get a reality tv - failed business man elected in the first place

Let’s see how Biden and Harris and their staff do first before commenting in such a definitive manner. We have all know employees or work colleagues with fine cvs only to learn quickly, how out of their depth they really are

Jesus, how out of their dept would they need to be to replicate Scaramucci, Spicer or McEnany?

Even if they came out drooling and babbling all over the press room it would be a marked improvement on the disgraceful stuff we've seen from Spicer, McEnany and Huckabee-Sanders.

Trump's white house went almost a year without giving a press briefing.

At least drooling and licking the walls would be something.

It was a strange situation that most of the MSM in the US ignored this and Big Tech actively suppressed it.

I was watching MSNBC last night and it was incredible how they were saying if Trump keeps this up it may lead to violence and how terribly anti-Democratic it was. Yet US Cities were in flames during the Summer and people killed because of the free pass and in some cases active encouragement the Dems gave the BLM/Antifa gang.

It says something when City's premises are boarded up the night before an election but when the "right" side wins (in this case Biden) they feel safe to return to normal.

Of course his nonsense could lead to violence, it's also extremely undemocratic.

You would want to be fairly slow witted to think neither of those things are true given the division over there at the moment.

It was only recently some lunatics were caught planning to overthrow the Michigan Capital building and execute the employees.

So you think that questioning the integrity of an election result and claiming the victor cheated is extremely undemocratic?

Trying to use the supreme court to overthrow an election that was free and fair with dangerously stupid frivolousness suits is undemocratic.

Whipping up the crazies and fleecing their money is just dangerous and scandalous.

Tell me you are not of similar opinion to those cretins over that think Trump won the election?
