I haven't been able to find any.

It did go up a bit last month, what is now the rear wheel drive model is up a little over 1000 on what it was.

I'm not sure if the others went up by the same amount.

LR and Performance also no longer qualify for the 5000 SEAI so that has impacted their prices quite a bit.

Changes in the Irish prices don't seem to really get reported on, but it's not like the US where is price is up 7000 over the year.

The website is bad at telling you what the price is anyway.

Do not go by this menu, its wrong.

    image.png

The RWD price is close, the others are not.

I thought it was still showing the price minus the grant for everything, but the difference is over 5000 once you get to the actual price.

This is the cash price of LR once you select it

    image.png

Even the cash price for RWD appears as 49,746 instead of 49,990, at least that one goes down a little.

The SR+ spec I order in August is 1089.78 euro cheaper that the "real" price now

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,146 ✭✭✭sk8board

isnt there a bigger spec and longer range on the latest SR, hence the price change?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 16,258 ✭✭✭✭AndyBoBandy

Yes, now 491km of WLTP range, heated rear seats and steering wheel as standard, and now just called Model 3

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,207 ✭✭✭innrain

The prices on the right are pre July 2021 when they were still qualifying for grant.

Speaking of misleading the model 3 page lists

    image.png

Which is not really true. Performance is rated 3.3s and long range is rated 580 km. But no car in their lineup has them both.

I got an update on my android app and I can't start heating on the driving wheel. I can from the car but not from the app. Anybody seeing the same?

^^ That issue has been widely reported in the Facebook group re the heated steering wheel...

I find when they release an app update, it's quickly followed by another 2-3 app updates over 2-3 days to fix all the stuff they broke in the initial app update!!

    Yah...well...not quite 4 years...ordered in Sep '16 -> delivered March 20.

The levels of boat watching in late 19 -> early 20 were worrying. We had a spy in SF port...

Apple do the same with iOS, using us all as beta testers! Best to hang on until the subsequent version :)

Hope you get it soon! Surely if it's in inventory, it's there for the taking by who ever has the money first, eh?

They got in touch about delivery today, told me the vehicle is arriving in December. So I guess someone had an order that was being fulfilled in the December batch that they cancelled.

    I'm so jealous!

Enjoy it, and looking forward to seeing another one on the road. Probably a few years out before i can get one myself, for now, i'll have to keep watching everyone else enjoy theirs!

Great news - You can now precondition your battery for non-Tesla chargers.

This is probably the feature update I've been waiting for the most and coincides perfectly with the arrival of the cold weather!

Seems this week Tesla did an update on their mapping navigation to include non-Tesla chargers alongside Tesla Superchargers. I received a notification when I landed at the M6 Circle K Athlone:

"Next time - Navigate to charging station. Battery will precondition for faster charging"

A quick check of the Charging options on the mapping showed up this. Interestingly it didnt show eCars 150kW in Athlone. Also it only displayed high powered chargers (i.e. not 50kW).

after I ordered, folk were getting VIN’s, and I saw an invent at pop up on their site in the exact spec I ordered, so I hounded a few people in Tesla and got the inventory car assigned to me!!!

A few long range's have appeared in the inventory on the Tesla website...so bit the bullet and changed my order to one of them, now collecting in December! Happy out!!

I'm keeping my eye on the inventory for an SR to pop up, I'd take December over March any day. 212 vs. 221 doesn't really bother me at all.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,355 ✭✭✭Le Bruise

Same as that, not too worried about the number plate. I was on the fence between SR and LR when purchasing anyway....so it wasn't too difficult a decision.

I see that the LR M3 cash price (~65k) is only 5K cheaper than LR MY. Has anyone with M3 order been tempted to change to MY?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,207 ✭✭✭innrain

That's brilliant. Few days ago there was the news that Fastned was on the navigation now Ionity and even ESB. Didn't check if easygo is there. Too bad I didn't know about it Wednesday when I changed at the Hub.

Standard Model 3 delivery estimate is now May '22. When I ordered it was March, should I still get it in Q1 or will I be looking at Q2?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 808 ✭✭✭podge1979

I ordered in August missed a Sept and December delivery. They said they were pretty sure I'd get it in Feb.

Joke! I'm Looking else where now!

Looks like UK are getting nearly all RHD's, logistics now don't help as have to go to zebrugge instead of Southampton now.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 808 ✭✭✭podge1979

But saying that the performance looks like may the others are still march.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,207 ✭✭✭innrain

I just opened the website and it says Feb 22. March for Performance. Strange

Strange - selecting Aero wheels on a Standard 3 (which is what I ordered last week) is saying May 22 but if I switch to the 19" wheels, it goes to Feb 22.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,207 ✭✭✭innrain

You are right and the 19" are selected by default, although it is a 1.7k option, which is showing where the shortage is. Freaking mad to think some wheels are delaying delivery for 3 months.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,207 ✭✭✭innrain

Nah is Tesla pushing more expensive purchase. You can get Feb delivery with 18" if you choose white interior or any other paint color but white. Sellers market

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 118 ✭✭Paddyg96

Anyone buy a Tesla through their limited company? Been considering it after a solid 2021.

don’t want to wait 5 months though

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 23 orin_jj

Just bit the bullet and switched to a LR from the inventory for a Dec delivery!

Does the LR being delivered come with heating steering wheel? Only mentioned front and rear seats in the details of the car, but I presume it does seeing as the SR+ (or plan M3) now comes as standard.

I'm sure it will as the P & LR always had the premium interior which would have included the heating steering wheel since it was available.

You're next dilemma is (after collection) to pay the €1,700 or so to bring the acceleration down from 4.4s to 3.9s.... or save it for a later present to yourself to spruce up the car down the line.
